Defensive problems again on both sides?

The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors face each other in the California derby on 06/03/2022 from 02:30. The home side are still without top player Anthony Davis, who is injured, and the visitors also travel with personnel worries.

LA Lakers – Statistics & current form

The record champions last played the city duel against the Clippers. They suffered a painful 111-133 defeat in that game. It was the fourth defeat in a row for the home side and one reason for the lack of success these days is the injury to Anthony Davis.

Without the “big man” the hosts are clearly weakened and due to the severity of AD’s injury the Lakers will also have to do without his services for several weeks.

Furthermore, Head Coach Frank Vogel’s team cannot rely on a home bonus. The win rate in front of their own backdrop is almost even at 52.9 percent (18-16).

Golden State Warriors – statistics & current form

Head coach Steve Kerr’s squad has been out of form lately. Only three of the last ten games could be played victoriously. Due to this poor result, the men from San Francisco now have to fear for second place, because the Grizzlies are breathing down their necks more and more.

One reason for the downturn is the loss of Draymond Green, which has reduced the quality of the visitors’ defence. This can also be seen in the last two games, in which the opponents always scored at least 122 points. For the normally very defensively strong guests, these are of course indiscernible results.

LA Lakers – Golden State Warriors tip

For the showdown between the LA Lakers and Golden State Warriors, betting on more than 221.5 points seems promising. Both teams have not been very convincing defensively lately. In addition, they both have to do without powerful defensive players such as AD on the home side and Draymond Green on the visitors’ side due to injury.

For this reason, in the case of the Warriors, for example, the selected limit in terms of points has already been exceeded in seven of the past eight league games.
