Will the Ravens pull off a surprise at home?

Ravens vs. Chiefs, this promises to be a nice duel of the quarterbacks. However, the two former MVPs are clearly on unequal footing when it comes to the supporting cast.

While the Chiefs have been spared major injuries so far this season, the Ravens have been hit double and triple hard For example, two starters (Edwards, Peters) tore their ACLs within just five minutes of each other at practice

Thus, co-favourite Baltimore became just an outside bet. While the Ravens can still beat anyone on a good day, it should be a very long season without star cornerback Peters and their best running backs.

So for Sunday night, we see the Chiefs with clear advantages. They have also won all of the last four meetings. In Baltimore vs. Kansas City, our prediction is therefore a fairly clear success for Pat Mahomes and his colleagues in the end – some total points included.

Kickoff of the Sunday Night Game is on Monday night and the game can be watched live on DAZN with German commentary. Also other NFL games, such as Chargers vs. Cowboys has the betting base this weekend again in the program.

United States Baltimore Ravens – Statistics & current form

The Ravens have been the big jinxes of the season so far, literally. Because the franchise with the raven in the logo had to take one neck blow after the other in the preseason, followed by the overtime defeat against the Raiders.

First of all, let’s look at the injuries: Marcus Peters, L.J. Fort, J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards, four of the most important starters, were hit. Peters in particular will be impossible to replace this season.

Runningbacks badly plucked

With Dobbins, Edwards and Hill, three running backs were seriously injured in preparation, which decimated the running back corps. So it was no surprise that Lamar Jackson was by far their best runner on Game Day 1.

This is nothing new for the quarterback, but 86 rushing yards is an unusually high number for him as well. That means he alone has rushed for more yards than, say, the entire Cowboys team – including star running back Ezekiel Elliott.

It still didn’t help against Las Vegas because too many simple mistakes were made towards the end, including by Jackson himself. He fumbled the ball already in field goal position in overtime and thus contributed significantly to the defeat.

High scoring game expected

Chiefs games are blessed with as many points as Ravens games in the NFL. That promises a high-scoring game Sunday night now, too, which doesn’t necessarily play into Baltimore’s favor. In the preseason, for example, they won all their games while allowing no more than 14 points.

Whenever the total score shoots up, however, the team gets into trouble. So for Ravens vs. Chiefs a bet on Kansas City is also the promising option for us, of course especially due to the injury problems with the home team.

Key Players:
– QB: Lamar Jackson
– RB: Ty’Son Williams
– WR: Marquise Brown

United States Kansas City Chiefs – Statistics & Current form

The Chiefs got off to a bit of a bumpy start to the season, but ended the top clash with the Browns on a positive note.  They even managed to win the second half of this game 23:7.

The Chiefs will probably not get off to such a bad start again, although this happened to them numerous times last year. In this respect, we would be cautious with half-time/end-result bets on Mahomes and Co.

Mahomes already back in top form

Patrick Mahomes himself is already back in MVP form, throwing for three touchdowns with no interceptions on Sunday. He also added a rushing touchdown.

Together with Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce he forms a triumvirate that is unique in the NFL. If everything goes normally, this triumvirate should also be unstoppable for the Ravens. Especially with their best cornerback, Peters, out.

Defense still has room to improve

The defence, on the other hand, still needs to improve a little bit if they are to regain that absolute dominance. 457 total yards allowed are the second worst value in this still young NFL season. Only the Ravens are currently worse with 491.0.

But that’s saying a lot if they are undercut even by their weaknesses by the upcoming opponent. For Ravens vs Chiefs, the odds on Kansas are relatively well settled for this and can be played perfectly with a slight handicap (-4).

Key Players:
QB: Patrick Mahomes
RB: Clyde Edwards-Helaire
WR: Tyreek Hill
TE: Travis Kelce
K: Harrison Butker

Baltimore Ravens – Kansas City Chiefs Head-to-head comparison / H2H record

These two teams have met regularly in recent years – most recently four straight times with the better end for Kansas City It is doubtful that the Ravens will be able to break that streak this year of all years.

The Chiefs-Offense played too strong on Game Day 1 and the Ravens have too many injury worries in return. Since both teams also scored over 60 total points on the first Game Day, there is much to suggest that at least the 55.5 set by the betting companies should also be topped again on Sunday.

Thus, a bet on over-points is also possible for Baltimore against Kansas City. Betting recommendation No. 1, however, remains betting on the Chiefs, who, in the opinion of the betting base, come off far too badly with their 3.5-point lead.

United States Baltimore Ravens – Kansas City Chiefs United States Tip

The Chiefs are seen ahead by the bookmakers. That’s not much of a surprise. Their lead, however, leaves plenty of room for betting as we don’t think the Ravens can manufacture a game on a knife edge this year.

The last time they did that was in 2018, when Kansas didn’t pull off the win until overtime. For Sunday, however, the odds on the away team are clearly to be taken advantage of in Ravens vs. Chiefs Even a handicap of up to five points is still within the realm of possibility here
