Sometimes it just takes a new impetus from outside to end a prolonged dry spell. Getting motivated for the final spurt of the season and the long unthinkable fight against relegation could turn out to be problematic and complicated

Gladbach haven’t done much away from home this season

A further complication is that the team from the Lower Rhine is a welcome guest in the Bundesliga. The Foals have only won one of their last 21 league games away from home (1-9-11). This away win dates back to September, almost six months in the past. In other words, Borussia have now been waiting for a three-pointer in ten away matches in the Bundesliga.
