Bottom-of-the-table duels at Norwich and Watford

There are only seven matchdays left in the Premier League. Needless to say, the tension in the title race and relegation battle continues to mount. There could now be a preliminary decision at the top of the table.

Top of the table and reigning champions Manchester City and second-placed Liverpool face each other head-to-head. Guardiola’s side are aiming for a fifth straight match without defeat against the Mersey outfit.

Of course, the Citizens will want to avoid another defeat at all costs, as otherwise their opponents would take over the place in the sun.

The battle in the basement between Norwich and Burnley is also very exciting. The home side are bottom of the table and the Clarets arrive in third last.

Newcastle v Wolverhampton – 08 April, 21:00

The Magpies were beaten 2-1 by the Wanderers in the first leg. This ended a streak of five previous draws, which always ended 1-1!

At the same time, Newcastle are still looking for their first win against Wolverhampton since promotion to the top flight five years ago (0-5-2). The home side also suffered a 5-1 defeat at Tottenham in their last outing.

The home side’s recent run of six wins and a draw has come to an end as the defeat in London was their third in a row. The visitors, for their part, arrive in stable form.

They recently beat Aston Villa to record their third win in the last four games. In view of this, tips on an away win (DNB) are worth considering for the match in Newcastle in the Premier League on Matchday 32.

Everton v Manchester United – 09 April, 13:30

The “Toffees” have drawn twice against the record champions in league play, both away at Old Trafford. At home, on the other hand, the last two games against the Red Devils were lost.

After last Sunday’s defeat at West Ham, the situation at the Mersey club has become even worse.

In addition, Everton have already had to play a catch-up match against the Clarets this week, which puts Liverpool at a physical disadvantage. With that match also lost 3-2, the first relegation place is now only one point away.

Therefore, in the clash at Goodison Park in the Premier League within the 32nd matchday, predictions on an away win are worth a recommendation.

Arsenal v Brighton – 09 April, 16:00

The Gunners and Seagulls parted goalless in the first leg. In the case of the visitors, the result also describes their biggest problem in the shape of a harmless attack. Only the two teams from Norwich and Burnley at the bottom of the table score fewer goals.

The home side have also failed to convince in their forward play of late, with Arsenal’s attack managing just one goal in their last three league games.

Southampton v Chelsea – 09 April, 16:00

The Saints have already been beaten twice by the Londoners this season. After a defeat in the league, they lost in the last 16 of the EFL Cup last October, albeit on penalties and again away from home.

Hasenhüttl’s home record is no encouragement either: Southampton have not beaten Chelsea on home soil for more than nine years (0-2-6). Chelsea’s last performance, however, was more encouraging.

The capital city side lost 4-1 at home to Brentford. It was only Chelsea’s second home defeat of the season and the result makes it clear that the Blues were particularly weak in the derby against the Bees.

Southampton, however, have been equally unconvincing of late. The hosts have not won in four rounds of matches and have even lost three of those games.

For the clash on the south coast in the Premier League on matchday 32, betting tips on a mutual goal celebration are now on offer.

At least the Saints’ offence continues to work and this is especially true for the home games: Only in two of the 15 home games so far have the home side not scored at least once.

At the same time, however, the defence has always been susceptible to conceding goals: As can be seen from the fact that they, in turn, conceded no goals in only one third of their home games in league play.

Watford v Leeds United – 09 April, 16:00

For the Hornets, a 1-0 defeat at United in the first leg ended a run of five previous unbeaten games on this pairing (4-1-0).

They cannot rely on a home bonus now: Watford have only won two of their 14 games at Vicarage Road and no team in the British top flight scores less on home soil than the Golden Boys (2-1-11).

Due to their home weakness, Watford are also in acute danger of relegation in 18th place in the table. Leeds, for their part, have improved recently.

United have not lost for three rounds of matches and coach Jesse Marsch, who only recently took over, can currently be satisfied with his new team.

For the Premier League clash on matchday 32, bets on a goal celebration on both sides are worth considering. Although the visitors have stabilised under Marsch, the defence is still vulnerable.

The US American has not yet managed a clean sheet in his five league games in charge of the visitors.

Aston Villa v Tottenham – 09 April, 18:30

The Villans are expecting a real fearful opponent in Tottenham: they haven’t beaten the Londoners on their own ground for more than 14 years!

Instead, nine of the last eleven home encounters against the Lilywhites have actually been lost and only twice have the hosts recorded at least a draw in this review. Currently, it looks like another defeat for the home side.

The visitors recently scored an emphatic 5-1 win over Newcastle and the Reds alone top Conte’s tally of four wins and one defeat in the form table for the past five league games.

Steven Bergwijn, among others, is in good form: the Dutchman scored a goal in each of the two games against Germany and Denmark during the international break.

The attacker has carried that momentum into league action, too, as last Sunday Bergwijn was on target again with a goal just two minutes after coming on as a substitute!

In the Premier League clash at Birmingham on Matchday 32, tips on an away win are of interest. Besides the strong form of the Londoners, the shaky condition of the home side at the same time speaks for the prediction.

Villa have lost every game for the last three rounds and the mid-table team has no real goals left to play for this season.

Norwich v Burnley – 10 April, 15:00

The “Canaries” have failed to mark a single goal in their subsequent three Premier League games against Burnley since promotion in 2019, so naturally they have failed to win any of the encounters (0-1-2).

Norwich now have a physical advantage in the basement duel, however, as the Clarets have already faced Everton this week, as mentioned. The home side also recently halted their previous run of six league defeats thanks to a draw against Brighton.

Predictions on a home win, including securing a draw, look profitable for the clash at Norwich in the Premier League on matchday 32.

Leicester v Crystal Palace – 10 April, 15:00

The Foxes have not lost to the Eagles in five duels (3-2-0). Especially Kelechi Iheanacho likes to play against the capitals: In three of the last four meetings the Nigerian could score a goal!

The attacker was also successful last weekend, scoring against Manchester United to secure a 1-1 draw for coach Brendan Rodgers’ side.

The visitors, on the other hand, have a physical advantage as the home side have already faced Eindhoven in the Conference League this week.

Predictions of a draw are therefore advisable for the encounter in Leicester in the Premier League on matchday 32.

From a match point of view, the teams are on a par and the Foxes’ home advantage is diminished by their additional game on the European stage. Against this backdrop, a split of the points seems likely.

The prediction is underpinned by the visitors’ penchant for this fixture in their matches away from home. Brighton are the only team to draw more often away from home! Already six of the Eagles’ 14 away encounters have ended in a draw.

Brentford v West Ham – 10 April, 15:00

The Bees and West Ham faced each other in a competitive match for the first time in more than 28 years. On that occasion, the promoted side scored a 2-1 away win against their city rivals.

Now the newcomers will start with a particularly broad chest. Brentford last won 4-1 at Chelsea! The upswing of coach Thomas Frank’s eleven thus continues, as it was the third win in the review of the last four matchdays.

West Ham are another opponent who has been weak away from home recently. The Londoners have lost three of their last four away games.

Admittedly, the tasks within this flashback were also predominantly difficult with teams like Manchester United, Liverpool or Tottenham.

For the London derby in the Premier League within the matchday 32, value can now be discovered in the odds on a draw. The Hammers are unquestionably stronger, but the form curve for the hosts is pointing upwards as described, which is why a draw is on the cards.

Manchester City v Liverpool – 10 April, 17:30

In the first leg, the clash ended in a 2-2 draw. This marks the Citizens’ fourth successive unbeaten run against Liverpool (2-2-0).

However, the champions have been unable to prevent top striker Mo Salah from scoring at least once in the past three meetings.

The Egyptian is currently leading the scoring charts in the British top flight with 20 goals.

Should he score again, Salah would follow in the footsteps of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who scored in five consecutive games against the Citizens between 2000 and 2003.

However, in Manchester’s top Premier League matchday 32, the selection of betting tips now includes goals on both sides.

After all, the home side has the strongest home attack against the team with the most away goals in the league! On top of that, only two of the last ten encounters did not end with both sides celebrating a goal.
