Brentford fear a clap and Norwich want to climb further

The Premier League ends its short break with the 24th matchday and the following tips and odds for all matches are presented. Among other things, the leaders from Manchester get a visit from Brentford and the worst chaser of the Citizens, the LFC, receives the Foxes from Leicester at home Anfield Road.

With Newcastle against Everton there is also a basement duel. In this one, new Toffees coach Frank Lampard, who was a player at both clubs, will be hoping for his second win in his second game after a successful debut in the FA Cup last Saturday.

Soon, the Toffees will be hoping for their second win in their second game after a successful debut in the FA Cup last Saturday.

The Blues, who are currently flying the European flag at the Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, are also off.

Newcastle v Everton – 08 February, 20:45

Newcastle are known to have recently become even softer financially than clubs in England’s top flight already are. Money from Saudi Arabia was spent with both hands in the winter transfer window.

The Brazilian Guimaraes was bought from Lyon for more than 40 million euros as a reinforcement for the defensive midfield. In addition, Matt Target was loaned from league rivals Aston Villa for the left side of defence and Chris Wood was signed from Burnley. Not forgetting Kieran Trippier, who was brought in from the Colchoneros and who of course knows his way around the Premier League, having spent several years under contract at Tottenham.

The new arrivals should do the trick

The Mapgies’ hustle and bustle has only one goal: to keep the league at all costs. The opponents also have this season’s goal. Due to the fact that in the past four months they have managed only one victory in league play, Everton have crashed badly.

They haven’t won another game in 14 matchdays and Duncan Ferguson’s debut as the new interim coach also ended in a 1-0 defeat at home to Goodison Park on the last matchday. For the clash at Newcastle in the Premier League on matchday 24, however, tips on a draw now seem profitable.

A few days ago, the Toffees hired a new coach, Frank Lampard, and his debut was a promising one last Saturday with a clear 4:1 victory over Brentford in the FA Cup. Against this backdrop, there are now signs of an upturn in fortunes for the visitors.

West Ham v Watford – 08 February, 21:00

The Hammers have come off the back of late with two defeats. However, they still occupy fifth place and the dreams of the Champions League are alive and well in London. The visitors, in turn, played another make-up game at Burnley last Saturday and picked up a goalless draw at Turf Moor.

The Capitals were also in action that day. However, they were playing in the FA Cup and Kidderminster, a team from the sixth-tier National League North. Against the “Harriers”, it was still only enough for a nail-biting victory after extra time.

For the match at the Olympic Stadium in London in the Premier League on matchday 24, however, predictions of a home victory, including an interval lead for the Londoners, are a good idea. Even though the hosts’ recent performance in the cup was not convincing, the performance should be better now that Michail Antonio, among others, returns to the squad. The hugely important attacking player and top scorer for the Hammers in the history of the Premier League was still spared in the most recent match in the FA Cup.

Burnley v Manchester United – 09 February, 20:45

The Clarets played a make-up game against Watford last Saturday, as just mentioned. Despite the debut of Wout Weghorst on the side of coach Sean Dyche’s eleven, who was brought in to replace Chris Wood’s departure to Newcastle, it was only enough for a nil draw in the clash with the Hornets.

Manchester will again rely on their away strength. They have only lost two of their eleven away games so far and their attack is particularly reliable away from home: they have scored 18 goals in these matches and have scored at least once in every away game so far.

However, it is mainly in the second half of the game that they are in good form: Only four of the 18 goals were scored before the break! For the clash at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Matchday 24, predictions of a second-half goal from the visitors are therefore worth considering.

Manchester City v Brentford – 09 February, 20:45

The champions played an FA Cup match against Championship side Fulham last Saturday. They recorded a clear 4-1 home win against the Cottagers, who after all had travelled to the game as Championship leaders.

The home side are also unbeaten in 13 league games (12-1-0) and Kevin de Bruyne has looked much stronger in recent games. The home side’s form can therefore be considered very stable. The situation for the visitors is quite the opposite.

After a successful start in 2022 with a win against Aston Villa, the newcomers have lost four games in a row. On average, the Bees have conceded no less than three goals per defeat in this flashback. Their performance in the FA Cup last Saturday also ended disastrously with a clear 1:4 defeat at Everton.

For the match at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on matchday 24, the odds on more than two goals by the home side are therefore interesting.

Tottenham v Southampton – 09 February, 20:45

The capitals suffered their first Premier League defeat under coach Antonio Conte on the last matchday. They were beaten 2-0 by the Blues, ending a run of nine unbeaten league games for the Italian with his new employers (6-3-0).

Now, however, Heung-Min Son, a key attacking player who had to miss the last game through injury, is available again. The match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Matchday 24 therefore offers tips on a home win.

The hosts are in a better position thanks to Son’s return and can rely on the home bonus: Only three ten completed home games have not been victorious (7-1-2).

Norwich v Crystal Palace – 09 February, 20:45

Norwich have recently found hope: with two wins against Everton and Watford they could leave the relegation zone. With Crystal Palace, they now also travel to an away-weak opponent.

The Londoners have won only one of their ten away games so far (1-4-5), although the success was particularly deserving as it came at the top of the table in Manchester last October and represents the only home defeat for Guardiola’s team in the current league campaign to date.

The defence in particular is not doing a good job away from home – conceding an average of 1.9 goals in away games. Given the home side’s upturn in form, which continued last Saturday in the FA Cup with a win at Wolverhampton, betting tips on a home win (DNB) in the matchday 24 clash at Carrow Road look promising.

Aston Villa vs Leeds – 09 February, 21:00

Aston Villa and Leeds are only four points apart in the table and already the clash in the first leg was a close affair with a 1-0 in favour of the Birmingham side. The home side also recorded a 1-0 win over Everton in the Premier League last time out.

Lucas Digne set up the decisive goal against his old employers. Aston Villa recently bought him from the Toffees for €30 million and it seems that this deal could pay off for Villa.

The same goes for another new winter signing Philippe Coutinho, who arrived from FC Barcelona and scored in his first game at Aston Villa.

The change of scenery seems to inspire Coutinho: In the recent international match of his Brazilian national team, he also contributed a goal in the 4-0 win against Paraguay in the World Cup qualifier.

The visitors did not make any changes to their squad. But it might have been necessary – United currently occupy only 15th place and the relegation places are threateningly close. For the match at Villa Park in the Premier League on matchday 24, the betting odds on a home win are of interest.

Thanks to the various additions, the hosts have more individual quality compared to Leeds and the home bonus is equally in their favour.

Liverpool v Leicester – 10 February, 20:45

In Liverpool they had to do without Mo Salah and Sadio Mane recently. The two top performers in attack were at the Africa Cup. The games at the continental competition naturally took a lot of energy, especially as the players mentioned were in action until the final between Senegal and Egypt.

For this reason, they will probably be given a breather or possibly only make partial appearances against Leicester. The visitors will certainly not be able to call on their top striker Jamie Vardy. The attacker is still out due to injury.

However, the Foxes have a capable replacement in Patson Daka. The Zambian attacker has only made nine Premier League appearances for Leicester but has four goals and three assists to his name. He has also scored five goals in six Europa League games.

With the clash at Anfield Road in the Premier League on matchday 24, betting on the former Salzburg player to score next is a good idea. The prediction is backed up by his recent comeback from injury, with Daka striking once in each of his following two games against Tottenham and Brighton!

Wolverhampton v Arsenal – 10 Feb, 8:45pm

Arsenal recently parted ways with their top striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabonese was even given away for free to Barcelona. However, the Londoners saved themselves a double-digit million amount in salary payments, as the striker still had a contract with the Gunners for 18 months. The relationship between Aubameyang and the club was apparently so badly fractured that the decision was made to make this rather bad deal in the capital from a sporting point of view.

From a results point of view, things have not been going well for Arsenal either: after a defeat against the league leaders from Manchester, they only managed a draw at last-place Burnley. The hoped-for jump to a place in the Champions League was thus missed for the time being.

The home side, on the other hand, can be more satisfied with the last few weeks: four wins and a respectable draw against Chelsea in league play are very respectable. Although they lost to Norwich in the FA Cup last Saturday, this should not have been more than a slip-up in view of their previously very stable form.

For the clash at the Molineux Stadium in the Premier League on Matchday 24, bets on a home win are worth considering.
