The Bayer player has been followed for some time by sporting director Tare, with the goal of closing the deal by the end of the week. The Danish player from United is moving away, but Vlahovic and Harder remain options.
Victor Boniface is back in the Milan picture. Rossoneri sporting director Igli Tare has made a move for the Bayer Leverkusen striker, who has been a target for months. An agreement between the two clubs is close, and Boniface is in favor of the move, from Rossonero to Rossonero. Time is on his side: Milan wants to have their number 9 by the end of the week, and Boniface is an easier option than others. It remains to be seen whether Milan will go all in and make a definitive choice. The goal is to try to close a loan deal with an option to buy.

Rasmus Hojlund, the leading candidate in recent days, has suffered a setback. Negotiations with United and the player have never been easy, and the Dane would prefer a permanent move. So he is waiting, needing to find a stable destination for the future: he understands that his time at United is over and wants to turn the page. Milan, on the other hand, is in a hurry and has recently proposed a loan with an option to buy, even opening up to a conditional obligation to buy. Hence the stalemate. The other viable option is Conrad Harder, another Dane, even younger than Hojlund, for whom Milan has spoken with Sporting Lisbon and has almost reached an agreement. The price is close to $25 million, including bonuses.

The decision—  In short, Milan has at least three options ahead of it, in addition to the old Vlahovic idea, which is very appealing to fans but very complex in terms of the Serbian’s salary. However, Boniface is the man of the moment, and with him Allegri would have a physical striker with an international profile who caused Milan a lot of trouble in the Champions League in the fall of 2024. The big question mark with him is injuries, but in this story, it will be inevitable to take a risk, whether financial, physical, or in terms of settling in. Milan still has a choice to make… and it won’t be long in coming.
