Special game for Svensson
Bo Svensson is a Mainzer through and through. However, the Dane made his beginnings in the Bundesliga with Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he was active as a player from January 2006 until mid-2007. Therefore, it is still something special when the coach of Rheinhessen has to prepare his team for a match against the team from the Lower Rhine.

Gladbach – Statistics & current form
Adi Hütter has given Borussia a new look. With 56 percent possession, the Foals are in third position in this statistic behind Bayern and BVB. However, the new football of the team from the Lower Rhine has not yet led to sustainable success. Only slowly does the team seem to have internalised what the new coach demands of them.
Borussia with positive trend
So there was only one defeat in the last six games, but victories against the three Bundesliga teams from the Champions League, namely Dortmund, Wolfsburg and Bayern. Against strong opponents, the Foals gallop and therefore we think it is definitely conceivable to make a prediction on a guest victory between Mainz and Gladbach.
Last weekend, Borussia celebrated a reasonably commanding victory at home against VfL Bochum, even if a 2-1 win sounds tight at first. However, Alassane Plea and Jonas Hofmann had already given their team a 2-0 lead at the break. The visitors from Bochum only managed to score in the 86th minute.
Gladbach are in a slightly worse position than Mainz. With Jordan Beyer, Mamadou Doucoure, Tony Jantschke, Christoph Kramer and Stefan Lainer, several players are missing. In addition, Denis Zakaria is in danger of dropping out after stomach problems. Should the Swiss not be fit, Florian Neuhaus would probably be the first option for the starting eleven.
