The Azzurri coach has released the list of players called up for the last two matches in the World Cup qualifying group, scheduled for Thursday, November 13, in Chisinau against Moldova and Sunday, November 16, in Milan against Norway. Gattuso has called up 27 players for the training camp, which will begin on Monday, November 10, in Coverciano. Cagliari goalkeeper Elia Caprile has been called up for the first time, while Alessandro Buongiorno and Samuele Ricci, who have been absent since March 2025 and last June respectively, are back in the Azzurri squad. Gianluca Scamacca is also back in the squad, having already been selected by Gattuso in September but forced to leave the training camp before the match in Bergamo against Estonia because he had not fully recovered from the injury he had when he arrived in Coverciano. Nicolò Barella, who was booked on October 14 in the match against Israel, will miss the match against Moldova due to suspension.
