Away travel is banned for Inter fans until March 23. This is the decision made by Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi following the firecracker that was thrown last Sunday from the section occupied by Nerazzurri fans in Cremona and struck home goalkeeper Emil Audero.

“Following the serious disturbances that occurred,” reads the ministry’s statement, “the Interior Minister has imposed a ban on away travel for Inter fans until March 23, 2026, as well as a ban on the sale of tickets for those same matches to residents of Lombardy.” The measure, according to the Ministry of the Interior, “is intended to ensure the protection of public order and safety and to prevent the recurrence of incidents that could compromise the smooth running of sporting events.” The Milan-Inter match on March 8 is excluded from these measures, given that there will be no fan travel for that game. The away matches subject to the ban will therefore be the game in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo next Sunday, as well as the matches in Lecce and Florence.
