Will the SGE continue their home winning streak against the red bulls?

Six times Eintracht Frankfurt have hosted RB Leipzig at home in a competitive match so far. Six times, the Eagles have not lost (three wins, three draws). The Saxons have played no other opponent so often away from home without ever registering a victory.

However, things have been very mixed for the SGE of late. One bright spot, such as the 2-1 away win at Bayern, was followed by two defeats against Hertha BSC (1:2) and Bochum (0:2). Accordingly, in the run-up to the match between Frankfurt and RB Leipzig, the odds are swinging in favour of the visitors.

However, things are anything but going well for the Saxons. RBL have already lost three of their nine league games and are only sixth in the Bundesliga. The red bulls even remained winless away from home in four league games (two draws, two defeats). Accordingly, a lot of value can be found in the double chance 1X bet on Frankfurt vs.

To generate the maximum value, we combine this betting option with the bet that both teams will score a goal.

Frankfurt – Statistics & current form

The world continues to be topsy-turvy for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. The Hessians have played nine league games so far and have only won one – the away game against German record champions Bayern Munich.

Most recently, the team from the Main metropolis even lost to VfL Bochum and slipped to 15th place in the table after last Sunday’s 0:2 defeat. Oliver Glasner’s side only avoided the bottom of the table because five of their nine league games ended in a draw.

The worst start to a season in 16 years

Nevertheless, no one can be satisfied with the current interim results. The SGE, which also lost in the DFB Pokal in the first round to third division side Waldhof Mannheim (0:2), has only really had a good start on the international stage. In the Europa League, Eintracht leads Group D with seven out of a possible nine points.

A three-goal win against the red bulls would now be all the more important for the Adler to bring a little more calm into league play, where eight points out of a possible 27 from the first nine games represent the worst start in 16 years, when only seven points were picked up in 2005/06 as a promoted team.

Still no league home win in 2021/22 season

After 22 consecutive home games without defeat in the Bundesliga, the SGE suffered another setback in their last home game against Hertha BSC (1:2), of all teams. The SGE is still winless at home this season (three draws, one defeat).

RB Leipzig – Statistics & current form

RB Leipzig, as reigning runners-up, experienced upheaval this summer. Successful coach Julian Nagelsmann left together with Dayot Upamecano and Marcel Sabitzer for FC Bayern, while Ibrahima Konaté, another key player in the defence, moved to the Premier League.

The Saxons reinvested the high income almost completely. However, new arrivals such as goal-scorer André Silva, who is now returning to his old stomping ground with his new employer, have not really hit the ground running yet.

The penetrating power of the strikers is missing

The 25-year-old Portuguese, of all people, who has only scored two goals in nine league games – last season he scored 28 times in 32 league games for the SGE – represents the problem of the red bulls that has been a common thread since the departure of Timo Werner: the strikers lack penetrating power.

All in all, the offensive is impressive with 20 goals from nine league games. However, with Christopher Nkunku (4), Emil Forsberg (4) and Dominik Szoboszlai (3), the three most successful goal scorers are all midfielders or wingers.

Only 14th in the away table

Also during the week, RBL barely scraped into the last 16 of the DFB Cup with a narrow 1-0 away win at regional league side Babelsberg. It was one of only two wins in the last four competitive matches.

It is correspondingly complicated to bet on an away win for the Saxons against RB Leipzig in Frankfurt, especially as the red bulls have not only gone winless in six matches in the banking city. They have also failed to win any of their four away league games this season under Jesse Marsch (two draws, two defeats).

Frankfurt – RB Leipzig Direct comparison / H2H-balance

Head to head: 3 – 5 – 3

There have been eleven meetings between the two teams so far and the overall balance is even with three wins and five draws each. In Frankfurt, however, the SGE’s record reads much better. In six home games so far, the Eagles have remained unbeaten against the red bulls (three wins, three draws).

Frankfurt – RB Leipzig Tip

When it comes to Frankfurt against RB Leipzig, the forecast does have to take into account that Eintracht have yet to win any of their four league home games in the 2020/21 season (three draws, one defeat). In fact, however, the recent 2-1 defeat against Hertha BSC was the only match lost in the last 23 Bundesliga home games. Accordingly, there could well be something to be gained against the red bulls, who are winless in four league games away from home (two draws, two defeats).

Accordingly, there is a lot of value to be found in the Double Chance 1X bet, which combines very well with the bet on goals on both sides. In eight of their eleven competitive matches, both teams have scored.
