Burnley have made a number of changes over the winter, including bringing in a new striker in Wout Weghorst. Nevertheless, the team is still in last place in the Premier League and urgently needs a sense of achievement in order to stay in the league.

Burnley in relegation spot for ages

That is frustrating, especially as their last Premier League win dates back to 30 October 2021, when they were beaten 3-1 by promoted Brentford. What’s more, Liverpool are an opponent Burnley are anything but happy to play. The hosts have lost six of their seven home games against the Reds in the Premier League.

Burnley also conceded only nine goals at home, and with 28 goals conceded in 20 games, the defence is not the biggest problem. 17 goals are much more of an improvement, only Norwich City (14) have less to offer here. Liverpool – Statistics & current form
Liverpool’s starting position is much improved compared to Burnley. The Reds won 2-0 against Leicester during the week and are in second place in the Premier League. With one game behind, the Reds currently have nine points less on their account than Manchester City. Klopp’s team has little chance of winning the Premier League title, but they are not without a chance.
Liverpool is statistically one of the best teams in the league.
