A hot dance

A hot dance awaits in the south. The league leaders visit Andalusia in the clash of the royals. In the clash between Betis Sevilla and Real Madrid, the betting odds are clearly set on a win for the capital city

In theory, it can only happen like this. The Merengues have a squad with a market value of over a billion. The Beticos’ almost 200 million is of course no comparison. But the Green-Whites are always a threat, especially at Benito Villamarín. However, the bookmakers are offering much cheaper odds on Betis Sevilla and Real Madrid to win away from home

A look at their recent performances also offers only limited reason for hope. Real have won four of their last five games, with the exception of a 0-0 draw against Rayo.

The men from Sevilla, on the other hand, have three wins and two draws to their name. Even if the predictions for Betis Sevilla v Real Madrid favor Madrid, this game also has to be played first

Betis Sevilla – Statistics & current form

The Benito Villamarín is gearing up for one of the big battles in the Spanish top flight. There’s (almost) nobody the Whites would rather win against than the White Ballet

The other royals

The hosts officially go by the illustrious name of Real Betis Balompié. The royal title in particular, which is shown by the crown in the crest, allows comparisons to be made with the guests. It is often about the name, but in the current season it is also about the style of play.

After 15 match days, they have six wins and seven draws to their name. They have scored 18 goals and conceded 16. That puts them in seventh place overall, just outside the international ranks. However, Betis have impressed this season with their extremely dry style of play.

On the one hand, they like to “play”, but this often yields nothing. As a result, their second strength, which the Merengues also master, comes into play. Even in the weaker games, points are often scored. Whether with or against the run of play, individual class often pulls the coals out of the fire

Little room for maneuver

However, the downside of this system can be noticed more often than many would like. If points are scored through individual actions rather than dominance, there is often not much missing for a loss. Previous performances have shown this time and again.

In all competitive matches (21), there were only five games that were decided by more than one goal. The 2:4 against Bilbao and the 0:5 against Barca were clear examples of this. The same applies to the Copa match against Hernan Cortes (12:1). That leaves a 3-0 win against Valencia and a 4-1 win against Aris Limassol as parameters.

There is a lack of either penetration or defensive concentration. As a result, draws (5x 1:1 / 2x 0:0) keep creeping in. This may also be a reason why Betis Sevilla and Real Madrid are even more popular odds for a draw than a home win.

Real Madrid – Statistics & current form

The Blancos are dancing. It’s often more like hip hop than classical ballet. But the new soloists are particularly impressive

Rien ne va plus

The famous words from the casino are also heard time and again from the opposing forward lines. Although the Merengues’ attacking power is a force to be reckoned with, it is their basic defensive organization that sets them apart from their opponents.

They have only conceded nine goals in 15 league games. That is by far the best figure in the league and well above that of Atlético (13), Barca (14) or Girona (18). This is particularly remarkable in view of the Whites’ injury situation.

With Thibaut Curtois (cruciate ligament rupture), Kepa Arrizabalaga (adductor), Éder Militao (cruciate ligament rupture), Aurélien Tchouaméni (fatigue fracture) and Eduardo Camavinga (torn knee collateral ligament), several mainstays in the defensive unit are out. However, the German-speaking combo of Antonio Rüdiger and David Alaba will keep a clean sheet

Vamos

The decimated backline could well afford to concede a goal or two. The attacking department of the capital team is a hydra. Similar to the monster of Greek mythology, new attackers seem to keep growing towards the opponent’s goal.

Of course, new summer signing Jude Bellingham outshines them all. He scored eleven goals and provided two assists in his first 13 games. Rodrygo (6+4) and Joselu (5+2) follow close behind. The prolonged absence of Vini Junior (4+1 / return in February) is not so significant.

A total of 13 players have already scored a goal. That is a testament to the breadth of the Galactic squad, especially after such a relatively short season. At 27.2, they are still one of the oldest teams in the league, but the expertise of Toni Kroos (33) and Luka Modric (38) still shines brightly beyond the country’s borders.

It is therefore no wonder that many see the capital team as the big title contenders once again. Whether they really are will be proven in games like the one against the Beticos. Whoever beats such opponents can end up on top.

Predicted Real Madrid line-up:

Betis Sevilla – Real Madrid head-to-head comparison / H2H result

The recent history of this clash shows that something is always possible. In the last ten games, Betis have won two and Real four. In other words, the Beticos have come away with something six times. With a total of 8:9 goals, nil draws are also quite common. Before kick-off, however, the betting shops at Betis Sevilla and Real Madrid believe in tip 2.

Betis Sevilla – Real Madrid betting tip

According to the gray theory, Real will win. They have scored relatively consistently in recent weeks. Solid performances or individual actions are often enough. However, the Beticos have been warned by ex-Madridista Icso. They will do everything they can to decide the Betis Sevilla v Real Madrid clash against the predictions in the gazettes

It’s going to be a very tight game for us. Based on recent performances, we’re leaning towards tip 2 for Betis Sevilla and Real Madrid. It won’t be a dismantling, but Real are extremely efficient.
