Will Embiid lead the Sixers to the finals?

For the first time in 22 years, the Sixers are on the verge of making it to the Eastern Conference Finals. Thanks to a win last game at TD Garden in Boston, they would now have already clinched that victory with a home win, as Philly holds a 3-2 edge in the series.

Head coach Doc Rivers’ team was actually the underdog in the series, but thanks to the last surprising away win, the pressure is now on the opponent. Joel Embiid, in particular, has now arrived in playoff mode.

The center from Cameroon, who was named MVP last week, scored 33 points and it was his third game with at least 30 points. With the latter streak of games with 30+, “The Process” is walking on very prominent paths with the Sixers.

Embiid can now tie Chamberlain

In the history of the Pennsylvania franchise, only the two icons Allen Iverson (5) a good 20 years ago and Wilt Chamberlain (4) again almost 60 years ago managed more than three such games in the playoffs! He also showed his class on the defensive side of the ball with a whopping four blocks.

Boston Celtics – Statistics & current form

In the last game, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for no less than 60 points. But the series shows that even the usual scoring duo can not fix it alone.

The Celtics can take heart from the past postseason, however. They were also down 3-2 in the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Milwaukee Bucks, but still managed to win seven games in the end.

Philadelphia 76ers – Boston Celtics Tip

For next night’s showdown between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics, the betting odds and tip on at least 30 points by Joel Embiid is a good bet. This season’s MVP has stepped up recently, consistently pouring in over 29.5 points in the series against the Bostonians in the past three games.

He seems to have overcome the injury that prevented him from playing in the series opener and led to a mediocre performance with only 15 points in the second game.

Furthermore, Embiid will be especially motivated in this extra important game with a chance to make the Finals in the East. As the leader of the Sixers, he needs to lead the way and at the same time he wants to show that he is a worthy MVP who can also convince in the playoffs.
