Bucks’ offence too strong for Atlanta?

The Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks face off at Fiserv Forum on 03/10/2022. The champions are in third place in the East and on course for the playoffs.

For the visitors, this is not the case as they are tenth in the Eastern Conference and realistically the only hope is to participate in the play-in tournament in order to book their ticket for the postseason.

Milwaukee Bucks – Statistics & current form

The champions have won all of their last five games and are in stable form. The recent win against the Suns also showed that the home side have nerves of steel.

Head coach Mike Budenholzer’s team was trailing for a long time against the first-placed team in the West, but in the crunch time they clearly dominated their opponents and won the game in a comparatively confident manner.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was once again a reliable player. The “Greek Freak” is in fourth place in the NBA’s scoring rankings and is the fifth best rebounder in the league on top of that.

Atlanta Hawks – Statistics & current form

The basketball players from “Hotlanta” continue to lack consistency. The last game against Detroit was lost again. Although the defeat came after overtime, they should win against the second-last team in the East if they want to make the playoffs.

The Hawks’ poor away record gives them little hope: they have won only a dozen of their 32 away games. Only Orlando, the Pacers and Pistons beat this record in the Eastern Conference.

Milwaukee Bucks – Atlanta Hawks Tip

With the Bucks against the Hawks, a rematch of last year’s final in the East takes place. As is well known, the home side won 4:2 and even though they have already lost twice to the basketballers from Georgia this season, they are currently the favourites.

Compared to the guests, the champions look more robust and focused. For the clash between the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks, the tip includes more than 121.5 points by the hosts.

In addition to the recent very strong performances of the home side in this context, the defensive deficiency of the guests speaks for the prediction. This can be seen in the fact that they only occupy the fourth-last place in the relevant rating of the NBA.

Against the Bucks, this problem should be particularly evident, because Budenholzer’s team ranks a very good fourth in the offensive rating! In addition, they have exceeded the selected limit of points in four of the past six league games and last night against OKC again recorded a handsome 142 points.
