Who will win the important Game 5?

“Home sweet home” is the motto in the series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic, where the home team has always won by a double-digit margin to date. Is this also the case with our Cavs vs Magic betting tip for Tuesday night?

The matchup actually speaks for a close game, as the series score proves. But so far, neither team has been able to perform at their best away from home and it will be exciting to see if Orlando can do so in Game 5

We definitely expect a more even game here than has been the case so far. However, it remains to be seen whether the Magic will be able to clinch that all-important away win, as Cleveland still has room for improvement – especially with Max Strus and Darius Garland.

Our prediction for Cleveland vs. Orlando is the first exciting clash in this series, which could end up producing new heroes. We expect Strus in particular to score over 10 points, which was standard for him in the regular season

Cleveland Cavaliers – Statistics & current form

The Cavs should wake up now after two completely sleepy games and they are also relying on their own fans. It has indeed been a strange series so far, in which the home team has always completely dominated.

It is also the only series in which there has not been a single away win. What’s also crazy is that even though the Cavs have now been completely dominated twice in a row, they’re still considered the favorites in Game 5 – and we wouldn’t disagree

5th home win in a row?

So the start of Game 5 will be hugely important. The momentum is currently with the Magic, but if the Cavs get off to a good start here and take an early lead, the arena will be back and it could go the usual way, which is to win at home.

However, they will have to become much more present under the basket again for that to happen. They grabbed a total of 29 rebounds in Game 4, while the Magic snapped up 43. In Game 3, Orlando’s superiority was even clearer at 51:32.

Again, you would hardly believe it if you hadn’t seen the series. But the Cavs clearly won the rebounding duels in the first two games by 54:40 and 48:41, making the rebounds a blueprint for the entire series, so to speak.

Tips on players and sub-points to favor

Whoever controls the boards in game 5 wins the game. So simple and yet so difficult to predict. Because apart from Jarrett Allen, the Cavs don’t have a consistent rebounder who can grab over 10 boards.

Therefore, we prefer the odds for Cleveland vs. Orlando on under 200.5 total points or on over points from Max Strus. Option 1 makes sense, as only 191.7 points per game have been scored so far in this series and option 2, because Strus still has a lot of room for improvement.

Strus averaged 12.2 points in the regular season and has now scored “only” seven points three times in four games in the playoffs. He should definitely be able to add that one more basket in the decisive Game 5 and crack the 8.5 points mark.

Key Players:

  • PG: Donovan Mitchell
  • SG: Darius Garland
  • SF: Evan Mobley
  • PF: Max Strus
  • C: Jarrett Allen

Orlando Magic – Statistics & current form

Orlando has finally shown what this young team is capable of. Now, however, they have to get their game together on the road, which they have not been able to do at all so far. They scored an average of 84.5 points in the two away games of the series.

That won’t be enough by far and that’s why they need to deliver: The offense has to deliver. Defensively, the Magic are one of the two best teams in the playoffs so far. Only OKC can boast a defense rating of 96.8 and, as we all know, they have their series under control

It’s Wagner Time

The defense is in place, but they will only win if they score more than 84.5 points this time – and do so by a wide margin. Franz Wagner in particular should help them do that. Our tip for game 2 was for him to score over 18.5 points (although he then unfortunately scored exactly 18).

In game 4, however, his breakout game came with 34 points and he carried Orlando to 112 points. His line now stands at 19.5 points, which is still a tip we can recommend for Cleveland vs. Orlando

Tips on Wagner and Strus possible

In addition to player bets on Franz Wagner, we also recommend one on Max Strus. Because the Cavs know that they can only get back on track with a better three-point percentage. It will be difficult under the baskets.

Of course, the three-point specialist Strus, who can also catch fire in front of his own fans, stands out in particular. Over 8.5 points from him are therefore just as playable as over 19.5 points from Franz Wagner. Since we narrowly failed with Wagner last time, we prefer Strus this time.

Key Players:

  • PG: Gary Harris
  • SG: Jalen Suggs
  • SF: Paolo Banchero
  • PF: Franz Wagner
  • C: Wendell Carter Jr.

Cleveland Cavaliers – Orlando Magic head-to-head comparison / H2H record

2:2 in the series and, curiously, this was also the final score of the regular-season series. However, each team was even able to win once away from home, something that had not yet been achieved in the playoffs.

Nevertheless, the Magic should remember this away triumph from the end of February as an example of how it can be done. Back then, they scored 116 points in Cleveland, which would certainly be enough to win on Tuesday.

However, we do not expect such a high score again. Instead, the duels in Cleveland have been characterized by very tough and good defence (181.0 points on average per game). Therefore, the odds of under 200.5 for Cavs vs. Magic are definitely another strong betting option

Cleveland Cavaliers – Orlando Magic betting tip

Will we see the next unchallenged home win or will a team break this streak? To advance to the next round, it would have to be the Magic. If they start the game well, this is also possible, but we wouldn’t bet on it.

Our favorite option for Cavaliers vs Magic is a bet on over 8.5 points from Max Strus. Followed by under-point bets, which have regularly led to success so far in this series.

Another alternative are points bets on Franz Wagner or rebound bets on Jarrett Allen. He is a force under the boards, especially at home, where he secured 16 rebounds twice in a row.
