Didier Deschamps’ national team can look back on a weak European Championship in 2021. A few months ago, the Tricolore team won Group F ahead of Germany (1:0), Portugal (2:2) and Hungary (1:1), but in the last sixteen it was the last game after a penalty shootout against Switzerland. In the current World Cup qualification, the French team is in first place with seven points after three matchdays. In the only home game against Ukraine so far (1:1), the only points lost were lost. The Zmajevi (The Dragons) have never qualified for one EURO and were therefore only spectators in the summer of this year. Seven years ago, Bosnia completed the only major football event at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. At their World Cup premiere, however, the dragons did not get past the preliminary round and dropped out early on the Sugarloaf Mountain. After the first two group games against Argentina (1-2) and Nigeria (0-1), the tournament had run early for the outsider. After all, the first World Cup victory in the history of the association (3:1) was celebrated in the last group battle against Iran and they said goodbye to South America.
The World Cup Quali is still not running satisfactorily after two matchdays with a 2-2 victory in Finland and the defeat at home against France (0-1). The hopes lie on the following qualifying games against teams on an equal footing such as Kazakhstan, Ukraine and the return match against the Finns. If you remain unsuccessful here too, Bosnia can make up for the second World Cup participation. Last year, the UEFA Nations League was also bad. In the A-Liga, after six international games against Italy, Holland and Poland, they finished last and were relegated to the B-Liga without a win with only two points.
The two goals in the current competition were scored by Miroslav Stevanovic and Miralem Pjanic. Both goals were scored in the first World Cup qualifying game in Finland.
Blocks or injuries are not known, so Bosnia can travel to Strasbourg in best occupation.
