The feat took place in Budapest during the Gold stage of the Continental Tour: it is his 13th world record in a row.

Yet another feat by Sweden’s Armand Duplantis: in Budapest, during the Gold stage of the Continental Tour, the pole vaulting phenomenon set a new world record of 6.29, improving his own record by one centimeter, set in Stockholm on June 15. The jump came on his first attempt, having previously cleared 6.11 meters on his second attempt. With this 6.29-meter jump, Duplantis has broken the world record for the 13th time, the first being on February 8, 2020, in Torun, Poland, when he jumped 6.17 meters.
