After cramps in Shanghai and some rest, Jannik is ready to resume training. His goal: to confirm his status as champion of the exhibition in Riyadh

After the break in Shanghai, when cramps forced him to withdraw, worrying his fans, Jannik Sinner is back in action. In recent days, the South Tyrolean has slowed down, allowing himself a few days of relaxation to recover his energy. But now it’s time to get back on the court: the weekend will be dedicated to light training sessions with Simone Vagnozzi, just to regain confidence with the racket and movement. Then on Sunday, he will leave for Saudi Arabia, where he will be on court for the Six Kings Slam starting on Wednesday. Alongside him in Saudi Arabia will be Vagnozzi and physiotherapist Alejandro Resnicoff, a new addition to the team, who will closely monitor the Italian’s physical condition, focusing on preventing minor but debilitating injuries, such as the one he suffered in Shanghai. The goal is clear: to regain rhythm without taking risks and to use the Six Kings Slam as a test run for the final part of the season.

The event, organized as part of the Riyadh Season, offers a hefty prize pool: a total of $13.5 million, with a guaranteed minimum of $1.5 million for each player and a maximum of $6 million for the winner. These are staggering figures for a tournament that does not award ATP points but will still be closely followed: the entire event will be broadcast live on Netflix, a sign of the desire to bring Saudi tennis to an increasingly global audience.

The best —  Completing the super cast, alongside Sinner, Djokovic, Alcaraz, and Tsitsipas, will be Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz, who will face each other in the other quarterfinal. For Jannik, a possible (probable) semifinal with Djokovic before a possible rematch against Alcaraz in the final. For Sinner, it will be an opportunity to measure himself once again against the best, without the burden of the rankings but with the desire to rediscover positive feelings.
