West Ham try again for first goal of the season against Aston Villa!

Matchday 4 is upon us in the Premier League. Odds and tips for all matches are presented below!

On the coming matchday, Southampton will be looking for their first win in 19 years against Manchester United in front of their own crowd. The visitors, however, were able to record their first win of the season on the last matchday and will now start with less pressure on them.

There is also a London derby with league leaders Arsenal taking on promoted Fulham and the Manchester champions looking for their third win of the season against Crystal Palace.

The Reds, who are still without a win, are under pressure and desperate to change that at home to Bournemouth at Anfield Road. However, visiting coach Scott Parker’s last league win at Anfield Road came in March 2021, when he was still in charge of Fulham.

Now he wants to emulate Kevin Keegan, who was the only coach ever to win back-to-back Premier League victories at Liverpool with two different promoted sides (Newcastle and Manchester City).

Southampton v Manchester United – Aug 27, 1:30pm

The Saints and Red Devils drew 1-1 in both clashes last season and for the home side, the draw at Old Trafford was a clear improvement on the previous season when they suffered a 9-0 defeat to Manchester.

However, the home record in this pairing is generally not good: Since 2003, the hosts have not won against United in the competition (0-5-9)!

It may be a good omen that Cristiano Ronaldo was in the Manchester side for their last home win 19 years ago. The Portuguese is now back in the side, although he only played a few minutes recently.

The hosts also recently picked up their first treble of the season at Leicester. However, United also recorded their first win of the season last matchday. The success also came against the runners-up from Liverpool.

Thanks to the victory, the pressure from the two defeats at the start of the season should now be somewhat off the visitors.

Brighton vs. Leeds United – 27 August, 16:00 hrs

The Seagulls have not lost since four meetings with Leeds (2-2-0). The start of the new Premier League season was also successful.

The South Coast side won at Old Trafford against Manchester United on the first matchday and drew at home against Newcastle. Most recently, they recorded a 2-0 away win at West Ham.

On the visitors’ side, Rodrigo has been at his best up front. The Spaniard scored the opener against Wolverhampton and followed it up with a brace in a 2-2 draw with Southampton the next day. He was also on target last matchday in a 3-0 win over Chelsea.

His strong form was already noticeable during the preparation. The 31-year-old scored in the two final test matches against Crystal Palace and Cagliari. Against the Italians, the striker even scored a hat-trick!

This makes it a series of five games in a row with at least one goal from him. For the match in Falmer in the Premier League on Matchday 4, the odds can therefore be placed on another goal by Rodrigo Value.

Although it is against the so far defensive in the league with only one goal conceded, but given his current enormous accuracy can be expected but again a goal from him.

Brentford v Everton – 27 August, 16:00

The “Bees” and “Toffees” last faced each other on the third last match day of last season. Brentford won 3-2 at Everton, leaving the Mersey side in serious danger of relegation.

Although coach Frank Lampard’s team managed to save themselves in the end, their start has been very weak again. The visitors have only picked up one point. Two goals scored are not a good record either.

The home side recently suffered a defeat in the London derby against Fulham. However, the defeat was very unfortunate, as the decisive goal was conceded in injury time.

The home side’s performance was nevertheless decent. This applies once again to the attacking prowess of Ivan Toney and Josh Dasilva, who have already scored twice, and who have struck eight times this season! Only Arsenal and Manchester City top this tally.

For the clash at the Brentford Community Stadium in the Premier League on Matchday 4, the tip now includes more than one goal from the hosts. A figure the Londoners have managed in all three league games so far.

Chelsea v Leicester – 27 August, 16:00

The “Blues” have rarely been convincing against Leicester on their own ground in the recent past. Only one win has been recorded against the 2016 champions in their last five home league games (1-2-2) and last year Chelsea were also beaten in the FA Cup final by the “Foxes” at Wembley Stadium.

Now, it looks like it will be a high-scoring encounter, as the Foxes have been the league’s top scorers so far, conceding no less than eight goals.

Predictions of more than 2.5 goals are therefore recommended for the match at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League within Matchday 4. A limit that has been exceeded in all three of the visitors’ league matches so far. With an average of 4.3 goals, the “Foxes” even have the highest average value of goals per match in the league. On top of that, the home side were also unconvincing defensively in the 0:3 against Leeds and 2:2 against Tottenham.

Liverpool vs. Bournemouth – 27 August, 16:00

The “Reds” have won no less than the past six duels with promoted Bournemouth and only one of the victories did not come on top with a clean sheet for the runners-up! Now there are signs of another home win.

The visitors conceded a defeat against Arsenal and, as in the previous defeat against the champions, remained without a goal of their own. The hopeful start to the season with a win against Aston Villa could thus not be confirmed, although the opponents were of course particularly difficult. However, this verdict now also applies to the runners-up from Liverpool.

Although the home side are still without a win with two draws and the most recent defeat at the “Red Devils” and will again be without their suspended new striker Darwin Nunez, the squad is of course still clearly better.

In addition, Liverpool will now be highly motivated to finally get their first three points of the season. For the clash at Anfield Road in the Premier League on Matchday 4, predictions of a home win with at least a three-goal difference are worth considering.

Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace – 27 August, 16:00

The Citizens have a score to settle with their upcoming opponents from last season: Neither of the two duels could be won. Instead, they suffered a 2-0 home defeat and a goalless draw with the Eagles.

The visitors also picked up their first win of the season on the last matchday. They recorded a 3-1 win against Aston Villa. After the previous already respectable draw with the “Reds” at Anfield Road, the result again represented a satisfactory yield for the Londoners.

For the clash in Manchester in the Premier League on Matchday 4, tips on more than 3.5 goals are recommended.

The home side share the best attack with Arsenal, but looked vulnerable defensively in the recent 3-3 draw. Aymeric Laporte, a key player in the defence, was still missing through injury.

Arsenal v Fulham – 27 August, 18:30

The “Gunners” have not lost any of their last eight city duels with Fulham and have only failed to win two of those encounters. Moreover, Arsenal started the new season extremely successfully with three victories.

However, the visitors were able to put their derby trauma behind them for the time being on the last matchday. They won 3:2 against Brentford and thus for the first time after 24 city duels without a win, they won again in the Premier League.

The decisive goal was scored by Aleksandar Mitrovic, who, like his club, had always failed in derbies before. For the first time after 15 derbies without a goal, the Serbian was able to celebrate a goal of his own.

With three goals already, he has also matched his tally from his last season in the top flight in 2020/21. For the derby in London in the Premier League on Matchday 4, however, bets on a home victory with at least a two-goal difference seem promising.

The hosts have been extremely dominant so far. The visitors, as described, celebrated their first win of the season on the last matchday only with a lot of luck and, from an objective point of view, were not the better team against Brentford.

Another factor in favour of the prediction is the very strong offensive of the “Gunners”: With Odegaard, Gabriel Jesus and Martinelli, three players have already scored twice.

Aston Villa vs. West Ham – 28 August, 15:00

The home side from Birmingham will be looking forward to the pairing with mixed feelings. They have not won against the Hammers for more than seven years (0-3-5) and the last four duels have all ended in defeat.

However, the visitors travel with a very weak offensive line. They are the only team in the British top flight not to have scored a single goal! The Londoners also had to play Viborg FF in Denmark in the Conference League qualifiers this week, so they will be less rested than Villa.

For the clash at Villa Park in the Premier League on Matchday 4, betting on a home win could therefore be worthwhile, according to the betting base. The fact that the home side’s only win so far this season came against Everton on their own turf is another factor in their favour.

Wolverhampton v Newcastle – 28 August, 15:00

Newcastle landed a 1-0 home win over Wolves in their last clash for now last April. The win ended an eight-game Premier League drought for the visitors without a treble against the Wanderers (0-6-2).

The home side, on the other hand, suffered a defeat at Tottenham in the league. In the match, the weak offensive was once again visible. They have only scored one goal in the three rounds of matches so far.

Betting tips on a clean sheet from the visitors are worth a recommendation for the clash at Molineux in the Premier League on Matchday 4.

While the hosts, as described, are low-scoring on the road, the Magpies also travel with a strong defence. The newly formed defence around Dutch international Sven Botman has conceded only three goals, all of them on the last matchday against the champions from Manchester.

Nottingham v Tottenham – Aug 28, 5:30pm

Nottingham have been waiting for their next win against the Londoners (0-1-4) for five duels in league action as well as in both domestic cup competitions. On Sunday, the drought could continue, because the Londoners have started the new season very stable with two wins and a draw.

Harry Kane, who has scored consistently in the last two rounds of matches, is already on target again and would make history with another goal.

Should he score, he would be the sole best goal scorer of a club in the history of the league. Kane currently shares the title with Sergio Aguero, who has also scored 185 goals for Manchester City.

In the matchday 4 clash at the City Ground in the Premier League, betting on an away win seems to be profitable.

Although the promoted side have not lost since the opening defeat of the season against Newcastle, the Lilywhites are currently in even better form and, of course, have the clearly better squad
