The Bianconeri will make a final attempt for the French striker today. Agreement with Bologna for the Holm-Joao Mario swap.

“Kolo Muani? The management is working non-stop, let’s wait and see.” Luciano Spalletti is hoping for a last-minute gift in attack, and Juventus is doing everything possible to satisfy him at the eleventh hour. Contacts with Tottenham continued yesterday, but the pressure from the Frenchman and sporting director Marco Ottolini has not been enough to change the Spurs’ plans for the moment. The English club does not want to release Kolo Muani, on loan in London from Paris Saint-Germain until June, ahead of schedule. With every passing minute, the striker’s return on loan becomes increasingly difficult. At Continassa, they are aware of this, but in the next few hours, a final attempt will be made for the former Juventus player, who scored 10 goals in six months in Turin. It’s a sort of do-or-die situation. Spalletti and Kolo Muani are crossing their fingers, but they are not getting their hopes up. Time is running out—the transfer window closes tomorrow evening—and Tottenham are proving to be anything but malleable. The transfer market is often unpredictable, and the Bianconeri do not want to give up until the very end. So much so that, at the moment, there is no thought of a plan B, given that, for one reason or another, the many candidates who have come forward in recent weeks are not convincing. In other words, Zirkzee’s name (Manchester United, formerly Bologna) remains on the table, but in Juventus circles, the “Kolo Muani or nothing” camp is growing. If there is no breakthrough with the Parisian, Juventus could also decide to postpone the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic’s heir until the summer. Vlahovic is currently injured and out of action until mid-March, with his contract expiring in June. In that case, Spalletti would end the season with Jonathan David and Lois Openda up front.

It is not only the striker who is on Juventus’ mind, as they are ready to strengthen the right flank. Kalulu’s deputy, who has been on the pitch since the start of the season, already has a name and surname: in the last 24 hours, the Bianconeri have reached an agreement with Emil Holm, the Swedish full-back from Bologna. The player and the Emilia-based club have agreed to a loan swap with Joao Mario, who ended up on the sidelines first with Igor Tudor and then with Spalletti. Only the last piece of the puzzle is missing: the Portuguese player’s approval of the transfer to the Rossoblù. Optimism is growing: barring any changes of plan by Joao Mario, the deal could be completed today. Meanwhile, for the summer, the Bianconeri are moving forward with Celik, whose contract with Roma is expiring: the Turkish full-back could join his compatriot Kenan Yildiz.
