Will Eintracht also win in Kraichgau?

The German classic on Saturday evening is undoubtedly the biggest highlight of the 14th matchday in the Bundesliga. Already in the afternoon, however, we look forward to a duel that definitely deserves more attention. We are talking about the match between Hoffenheim and Frankfurt. According to the odds, the Kraichgauer are the favourites, even though both teams have been in impressive form recently.

TSG have now won four games at home in a row and thanks to the good results of the past few weeks have moved up to fifth place in the standings. The guests from the financial metropolis have also put the weak start to the season behind them and confirmed their upward trend with four wins from the last five competitive matches. Consequently, we expect a clash of two confident teams.

Not least because of this, it seems by no means hopeless that a prediction on a goal or two in the course of the game will pay off between Hoffenheim and Frankfurt. Nevertheless, Sebastian Hoeneß’ charges have a slight advantage, although the SGE do not have to hide, especially because of their impressive record against the Sinsheimers. Eintracht have won the last six Bundesliga encounters. Will this run come to an end on Saturday?

Hoffenheim – statistics & current form

In recent years, TSG Hoffenheim’s development has stagnated a little. While the Kraichgauer had previously experienced the most successful period in their own Bundesliga history under Julian Nagelsmann, in the pre-season, for example, only a grey midfield position emerged in the final standings with eleventh place. Nevertheless, those responsible continued to place their trust in coach Sebastian Hoeneß and are currently being rewarded for this decision.

In the current season, TSG is one of the positive discoveries in the top flight. The blue and whites have quietly worked their way up to fifth place in the standings. Six victories in the first 13 matchdays have been offset by five defeats and two draws. Particularly impressive is the strong home record.

Fifth TSG home win in a row?

The last four encounters in front of a home crowd have all been won by 1899. In the course of the victories against Wolfsburg, Cologne, Hertha and RB Leipzig, keeper Baumann has only conceded one goal. Should a bet on the home side to win “to nil” also pay off on Saturday between Hoffenheim and Frankfurt, they would then even equal the club’s own record from 2017 with four consecutive home games without conceding a goal.

Admittedly, however, we believe that a bet on at least three goals in the course of the match is more promising in the context of Matchday 14. On the one hand, this is due to the fact that TSG has the fourth-best attack in the Bundesliga, but at the same time has had to swallow the most goals conceded in the top half of the table. 47 goals in 13 games involving Hoeneß’ team correspond to an average of 3.62 goals per match. On the other hand, it should also give pause for thought that Eintracht have scored in each of the last eight direct Bundesliga encounters.

To address both main points of this paragraph, it may well be of interest to check the combined odds between Hoffenheim and Frankfurt for the TSG not to leave the pitch as losers in the sixth of a total of seven home games in 2021/22, while at the same time breaking the 2.5 goals mark. Compared to the spectacular 6:3 win in Fürth the previous week, keeper Baumann and Kramaric will return to the starting eleven. Bicakcic, Bruun Larsen, John and Skov remain unavailable.

Predicted line-up of Hoffenheim:
Baumann – Posch, Grillitsch, Vogt – Akpoguma, Raum – Geiger, Samassekou – Kramaric – Bebou, Rutter

Last matches played by Hoffenheim:

1st Bundesliga
11/27 2021 – Greuther Fürth 3 – 6 Hoffenheim

11/20 2021 – Hoffenheim 2 – 0 RB Leipzig

11/06 2021 – Vfl Bochum 2 – 0 Hoffenheim

10/29 2021 – Hoffenheim 2 – 0 Hertha Berlin

10/26 2021 – Hoffenheim 5 – 1 Holstein Kiel

Frankfurt – Statistics & current form

At the start of the season, Frankfurt Eintracht still found it extremely difficult. It took until 3 October before the first competitive win under coach Oliver Glasner came with a 2-1 victory at FC Bayern. In the first 14 matches under the former Wolfsburg coach, the SGE celebrated just three wins.

In recent weeks, however, the form curve of the Eagle Bearers has been consistently pointing upwards. They have won four of their last five matches in the Bundesliga and the Europa League. On the international stage, progress has long since been secured, and at national level, too, Eintracht has managed to free itself from the relegation zone for the time being with ten points from the last four matches. They are currently in twelfth place in the intermediate rankings.

The late eagle catches the worm…

It will be interesting to see this weekend whether the black and red can continue their good series away from home. Three of the last four away games in the Bundesliga were won. Most recently, there were even two victories in a row. However, the SGE has not celebrated three consecutive away victories since April/May 2020. Is this a bad omen for the visit to the PreZero Arena?

The fact is that Hessen’s games this season always have to be watched until the very end. In five of the last six inter-competitive games (!) alone, the Frankfurt side scored after the 90th minute. This last-minute strength resulted in three victories and two draws. The previous week against Union Berlin, for example, they scored the 2-1 winner in injury time.

Another interesting fact is that Kostic and Co. have only failed to score in two of the 13 matches they have played so far this season. In ten of the 13 cases, both opponents scored a goal, so we are not averse to betting that Hoffenheim and Frankfurt will also score at least once on Saturday. At ADMIRALBET you can pick up a 1.52 for this.

Predicted Frankfurt line-up:
Trapp – Tuta, Hasebe, Ndicka – Sow, Jakic – Chandler, Kostic – Lindström, Kamada – Borré

Last matches played by Frankfurt:

1st Bundesliga
11/28 2021 – Eintracht Frankfurt 2 – 1 Union Berlin

Europa League Grp. D
11/25 2021 – Eintracht Frankfurt 2 – 2 Antwerp

1st Bundesliga
11/21 2021 – SC Freiburg 0 – 2 Eintracht Frankfurt

11/07 2021 – Greuther Fürth 1 – 2 Eintracht Frankfurt

Europa League Grp. D
11/04 2021 – Olympiakos Piraeus 1 – 2 Eintracht Frankfurt

Hoffenheim – Frankfurt Direct comparison / H2H-Balance

For the 25th time, the clubs face each other in Germany’s top division on Saturday afternoon. With nine wins compared to eight defeats and seven draws, Eintracht leads the direct comparison by a narrow margin. Especially in the recent past, TSG have developed into something of a favourite opponent for the Frankfurt side, who have won the last six duels in the top flight. In five of these six games, the Over 2.5 would also have been crowned with success.

Hoffenheim – Frankfurt Tip

An interesting match awaits us on Saturday afternoon in the Kraichgau. TSG Hoffenheim and Eintracht Frankfurt are two confident teams whose form curves are clearly pointing upwards.

The home side have won four of their last six Bundesliga games and have also picked up the maximum of twelve points from their last four games in front of a home crowd. On the other hand, the SGE also have four wins from their last five competitive matches. Given their good form, neither team needs to hide this weekend, although between Hoffenheim and Frankfurt the lower betting odds are still offered on the blue and white.

We are also in good spirits that the fifth-placed team has the slightly better prospects of getting the treble at home against the twelfth-placed team. However, in order to minimise the risk regarding the outcome of the match, we switch to the double chance 1X, but additionally link this bet with the Over 2.5 and then get an exciting 2.15 at the top via bookmaker Betway.

Alternative betting options are the Over 3.5 or betting on both sides to score. If you instead believe that the clubs will draw for the eighth time in the Bundesliga in their 25th attempt, you can get almost four times the stake at Bet-at-Home.
