Will the record champions halt the momentum of the Saxons?
Four games, four wins, 10:1 goals – that’s RB Leipzig’s record in the 2022 calendar year. The Saxons not only reached the quarter-finals of the DFB Pokal, but also returned to sixth place in the Bundesliga after three wins in a row. They are only three points off the Champions League starting spot they are aiming for.
Now, however, the Red Bulls are hosting the in-form German record champions, who, with 49 out of a possible 60 points, lead the table by a commanding six points over Dortmund. In the run-up to the match between Bayern and RB Leipzig, the odds are clearly in favour of the Munich side.

RB Leipzig are slowly but surely recovering from their most complicated season since promotion to the Bundesliga in the summer of 2016. After finishing runners-up at the first attempt, finishing every single season in the top six and always qualifying for Europe, the Saxons did not get off to a good start.
