Do the Bills stay hot against the Titans?

Who can stop these Bills? In their last four games, they literally stormed over their opponents, winning them by an average of 28.75 points differential. Washington and Kansas City were two of the playoff teams in the preseason.

So the Titans have a big task ahead of them. However, we don’t see Tennessee as having no chance here, because they have a weapon that can also be dangerous for Buffalo: Running back Derrick Henry. On a good day, no defense can stop him.

If the Titans can build a good game plan around Henry, for example with some play action plays over top receivers Brown and Jones, they could be just the team to put Buffalo in trouble.

So for Titans vs. Bills, our prediction is a much closer game than the Bills have had lately. But one thing this matchup will almost certainly give us is a lot of total points. Combined, these two teams are averaging 61 points so far.

Kickoff of the Monday Night Game is on Tuesday night at 02:15 and the game can be watched live on DAZN.

Tennessee Titans – Statistics & current form

The Titans clearly lead the AFC South and don’t have to worry much about playoff qualification this season. The other teams in this division are simply too weak.

With just five wins, this division lags the others by at least three wins and it’s not likely that teams like the Texans or Jaguars will even get many wins this season. That already takes a lot of pressure off the Titans’ shoulders.

Derrick Henry continues to lead the way

There’s still a lot of weight on Tennessee’s shoulders from running back Derrick Henry, who again put up 130 yards and three touchdowns against the Jags on Sunday. He also leads the league with seven touchdowns.

Before we get to the Titans’ chances for Monday, here is a betting recommendation on a Henry touchdown for the upcoming game.

How good is the Titans defence?

In addition to Henry, Tennessee obviously has other weapons on the roster offensively such as A.J. Brown and Julio Jones who should also benefit from the Titans’ dangerous running game. Big plays on play action plays are bound to happen here.

Nevertheless, the game on Monday will probably not be won by their offence, but the defence will be decisive. Against a Bills offence that puts up an average of over 34 points, one or two stops will have to be generated. Otherwise, even Henry and Co. will be of little help.

If Tennessee can hold the Bills to under 30 points (which is a huge task), they have a chance to win. For Titans vs. Bills, however, we don’t recommend betting on it, as we clearly expect a high-scoring game at the end of the day.

Key Players:
QB: Ryan Tannehill
 – RB: Derrick Henry
 – WR: A.J. Brown
 – WR: Julio Jones
 – K: Randy Bullock

Buffalo Bills – Statistics & Current form

Last week we spoke of several power plays by the Bills. The next one promptly followed on Monday night, when they took apart the favoured Chiefs in their stadium with 38:20. This also silenced all critics who accused them of a simple game plan.

They now face the Titans, who are the next big thing on the schedule. The Titans’ offense, in particular, could be another test for Buffalo, as stopping a Derrick Henry at his best is almost impossible.

What tactics will the Bills choose?

This raises the big question of what tactic Buffalo will choose against this terrific Titans running game. Do they shut down the middle completely and risk 1-on-1 duels on the outside positions against the top receivers Brown and Jones?

Last year, this tactic went a little wrong and Tannehill was able to dissect the Bills with three touchdown passes and a TD run of his own. The final score was 16:42 from the Bills’ point of view. A blowout from which they can learn, though.

Utilise momentum defensively too

The Bills defence is also on fire right now, as evidenced by two shutouts in their last four games. Therefore, we think they won’t go into the game too scared and won’t put on any special treatment for Derrick Henry either.

Getting involved with the opponent’s tactics is the first way to defeat. They could take a moment to ask Pep Guardiola about that. While it shouldn’t be enough for another blowout win for the Bills, betting on the away team in Tennessee vs. Buffalo is still an option, albeit not with a big handicap.

Key Players:
 – QB: Josh Allen
 – RB: Devin Singletary
 – WR: Stefon Diggs
 – TE: Dawson Knox
 – K: Tyler Bass

Tennessee Titans – Buffalo Bills Head-to-head comparison / H2H record

We already addressed last year’s matchup when the Titans swept the Bills 42-16 at home. Back then, Henry also scored two rushing touchdowns, but it was still Tannehill’s arm that did the most damage in that duel.

That shows this matchup won’t be easy for Buffalo. Even though they won the three duels before and are currently probably the hottest team in the league, we could expect a real thriller on Monday. In addition, we should see a lot of points.

Together, these two teams put up an average of 61.0 points, which makes the 53.5 betting odds set by the bookmakers very bettable. We would even combine this with an easy win bet on the Bills for even better value.

Tennessee Titans – Buffalo Bills Tip

Betting against the Bills right now wouldn’t necessarily be the best decision, even if a weak game from Allen and Co. is always possible. Nevertheless, we are sticking with Buffalo with our win tip. How big a win it will be, however, is anyone’s guess.

Because this matchup suits them far less than against the teams before, which is why we would push the only mediocre betting odds on the Bills with a bet on over-points in the Bills’ game against the Titans. After all, 53 points should be overmatched on these potent offenses.

We’ve also recommended betting on Derrick Henry as a touchdown scorer, but another player is hot right now. Bills tight end Dawson Knox has caught a total of five touchdowns in the last four games and has become one of Allen’s favourite face-off stations.
