‘The Beard’ against the former colleagues from Brooklyn!

With Philadelphia 76ers against Brooklyn Nets an explosive duel rises in the East. The visitors recently got their best player back on board with Kevin Durant. But the focus is of course on James Harden, who will now play against his former colleagues for the first time since his move to the Sixers.

Philadelphia 76ers – Statistics & current form

The 76ers have won five times since signing James Harden. Their only loss came against Miami without “The Beard”, who got a breather against the division leaders in the East.

The 2018 MVP obviously acclimatised to the Sixers right away and only in one of his games on Philly’s side did he not deliver a double-double in terms of points as well as assists.

Head Coach Doc Rivers’ run of wins has also seen his team climb up to third in the Eastern Conference standings, and with another win in the upcoming game, Philly would overtake the Bucks as the current runners-up.

Brooklyn Nets – Statistics & current form

The Nets will be more tired than the home side as they have had one less day to recover. Head coach Steve Nash’s squad will also be without Ben Simmons, who was traded to New York in exchange for James Harden.

However, guard Seth Curry, who was also brought in from the Sixers, is available. Curry initially played strongly for his new employer, but has recently declined considerably. This can be seen in his single-digit scoring output in the last three games.

His normally strong scoring ability from downtown has suffered, as in two of those games he made only 30 per cent of his shots from outside the arc.

Philadelphia 76ers – Brooklyn Nets Tip

For the game between the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets, the tip includes more than 17.5 points by Tyrese Maxey on the home side.

Although the media focus is completely on James Harden and his certainly not so friendly reunion with his old colleagues around KD and “The Beard” will certainly be extremely motivated, Maxey is currently also playing reliably in the shadow of the two 76ers superstars Embiid and Harden.

In March, the point guard has averaged 23 points in the four games so far and his scoring average at home is 18.1, which is one point higher than his output in the visiting games.
