Missing stars on both sides!

With Memphis against Dallas, the play-off atmosphere is already getting going. The home side are second in the West and the visitors are sixth. However, both teams have personnel worries at the moment.

Memphis Grizzlies – statistics & current form

Memphis has taken a deep breath recently: After three losses in a row, they were able to record a win again for the first time. The success came against none other than the champions Golden State. On the other hand, the Warriors are a long way from their form of the previous year, especially away from home.

Head coach Taylor Jenkins, however, was once again pleased with the performance of Tyus Jones, who has now filled his role as the current replacement for the suspended Ja Morant on a number of occasions. In the recent win over the champions, he even delivered his team’s best scoring output with 22 points.

Dallas Mavericks – Statistics & current form

Dallas is in sixth place and under pressure: they want to maintain their position as it is the last direct ticket to the postseason. If they slip, the Mavericks would have to play in the play-in tournament and try to slip into the playoffs via this additional route.

However, head coach Jason Kidd will have to do without Luka Doncic for the game against the Grizzlies. The Slovenian injured his thigh in the last game against New Orleans and even if it is not a serious injury, he will not be able to play in Memphis.

Memphis Grizzlies – Dallas Mavericks Tip

In the showdown between the Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks, the betting and odds on more than 16.5 points by Tyus Jones appear to be profitable. The point guard boasts a season-low of just around 10 points, but his output has increased significantly since the recent suspension of Ja Morant.

The reason for this is that it has elevated him into the starting five for the home side. Thus, he exceeded the selected limit in two of the past three games and delivered a double-double in points and assists just as often. Furthermore, his average value within this flashback is 21 points!
