OKC wants to take advantage of the favour and the Suns want to extend their winning streak

There are no less than eleven games scheduled in the NBA next night! In the West, among other things, the top game between the Grizzlies and Utah takes place and with it a direct battle for third place.

The pairing between the Hornets and Lakers is also appealing. The home side set a new franchise record for points last matchday and the Californians can again call on Anthony Davis for two rounds of games and are now aiming to catch up in the West.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Los Angeles Lakers – Jan 29, 01:00am

The Hornets are in seventh place in the East and are almost on target for a direct ticket to the upcoming playoffs. However, in order to punch such a ticket directly, the basketball players from North Carolina would still have to climb up one rank.

In the upcoming game, they will rely on home court advantage, as the home side wins almost two-thirds of its games on home court – the fourth-best home record in the East.

The record champions are in a similar position in the Western Conference in ninth place. The visitors’ performances have been shaky in recent weeks due to the absence of Anthony Davis, but AD has recently returned.

For the game at the Spectrum Center between the Charlotte Hornets and Los Angeles Lakers, predictions for a win by the home side with at least a seven-point difference are nevertheless interesting.

The hosts broke the franchise record for points in a game in the last game against the Pacers with 158 points and the visitors are contesting a back-to-back. On top of that, LeBron James had to miss last night due to a knee injury, so the injury saga of the Californians now continues with him.

Orlando Magic vs. Detroit Pistons – 29 January, 01:00 am

The Wagner brothers are having a tough time in Orlando. The home side is having a very poor season due to numerous injuries and currently Orlando even has the weakest winning percentage in the entire NBA

For the German NBA players in Florida, there is also little sign of improvement, as the personnel situation due to the respective severity of injuries to players such as Fultz and Isaac means that these players continue to be unavailable. However, the Pistons are now travelling to an opponent on a par with them.

For their part, the basketballers from Motown are ranked second to last in the East and are the weakest team away from home in the Eastern Conference. Head coach Dwane Casey’s team has won no more than four of its 25 away games so far.

In contrast, the home side even managed to defeat a top team in the East at home in their penultimate home game with the Bulls, and the two defeats so far this season against their upcoming opponents both took place away from home and only by a narrow margin of seven points or less.

For the clash between the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons, betting tips on a home win are worth considering, as home advantage should once again be the deciding factor in this duel between two equally strong opponents.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Boston Celtics – 29 January, 01:30am

The Hawks picked up a 110-99 home win in their only meeting with Boston so far this season more than two months ago. The best player, however, was Jayson Tatum. The 2020 All-Star delivered 34 points and just missed a double-double with nine boards.

Now there are indications that Tatum will once again play the main role in this encounter. The small forward recently scored 51 points against Washington and posted a new personal record for attempts from downtown with nine threes.

In addition, Tatum is even stronger away from home than he is at the TD Garden: Reading off a scoring output of 27.5 points per visiting game – a figure that is around three points higher than his season-long record in home games.

In the clash at State Farm Arena between the Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics, value can thus be located in the odds on more than 26.5 points by Jayson Tatum.

Houston Rockets vs. Portland Trail Blazers – Jan 29, 02:00

The Texans are at the bottom of the standings in the West and this ranking results in part from a very weak defence. No team in the NBA concedes more points on 100 possessions of the opponent than the Rockets with. Only two places behind them, however, is their upcoming opponent.

Because of this, predictions of more than 232.5 points by the end of the game in the duel at the Toyota Center between the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers are a good idea. A mark that has not been surpassed in only one of the past five home games for Head Coach Stephen Silas’ selection.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Utah Jazz – Jan. 29, 02:00

The Grizzlies have lacked consistency of late. However, that verdict also applies to the visitors, who are right behind the home side in the Western Conference standings. However, the visitors’ weak phase is much longer, with only two wins from the last ten games.

Admittedly, the schedule for Snyder’s team has been difficult of late, as they had to play the first-placed team in the West, Phoenix, twice, as well as the Warriors, who are in second place.

For the game at the FedEx Forum between the Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz on 29.01.2022 from 02:00, predictions of an away win, including a positive handicap of 5.5 points, seem fruitful.

Already the first meeting last November was a nailbiter, which ultimately ended with a maximum of 119:118 in favour of Memphis when visiting the Mormon State. This allowed the Tennessee basketballers to stop a streak of four winless games against the Utah franchise.

A similarly hard-fought game as last time can be expected now, which is why the handicap betting in favour of the guests, who are rated as slightly weaker by the bookmakers, offers itself.

Miami Heat vs Los Angeles Clippers – 29 January, 02:00

The home side are in first place in the Eastern Conference and this may be called a surprise. Instead of the champions from Milwaukee or the Nets from Brooklyn, the franchise from the Sunshine State takes the same place.

Miami has earned this successful season so far primarily through often very cohesive team performances. In the upcoming game, head coach Erik Spoelstra’s team can now also rely on the home bonus: The hosts have lost only five of their 21 home games – the best home record in the East!

For the game between the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Clippers, bets on another home triumph with at least a six-point difference are worth considering. This is also supported by the fact that the Clippers are still in a depleted form.

The visitors can take heart from their recent record against Miami, however, as they have not lost in this pairing for six meetings!

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Denver Nuggets – 29 January, 02:00

The Pels have shown a marked improvement of late – at least in their home games. The past four games at the Smoothie King Center could be played victoriously. They also defeated heavyweights like the Warriors, second in the West, and the in-form Minnesota basketball team.

But the Nuggets are another tough opponent. The Malone squad from the Mile High City has been shorthanded for some time now, but they have the reigning MVP in Nikola Jokic, whose great performances have regularly ensured victories for the visitors.

This was also the case in the only duel with NOLA so far this season, when the “Joker” once again proved his unique class with 39 points and a triple-double. Anyway, no player has a higher number of performances of the latter kind in the NBA!

In the game between the New Orleans Pelicans vs. Denver Nuggets, it is therefore recommended to predict an away victory with at least a four-point lead.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Indiana Pacers – 29 January, 02:00

OKC has lost all of its last six duels with Indy and the argument for another blowout is that no team in the NBA scores as few points on 100 possessions as the hosts. In three of the past five games, head coach Mark Daigneault’s team failed to even reach triple figures.

In the clash at the Paycom Center between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers, however, the betting odds on a home win by the hosts seem promising.

The reason for this is the tight personnel situation for the basketball players from Indianapolis: With Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner and Malcolm Brogdon, more than half of the starting five is currently out. The negative impact of this was shown in the recent game loss at Charlotte, in which they allowed the host a whopping 158 points!

San Antonio Spurs vs. Chicago Bulls – Jan 29, 02:30

The Texans and Windy City basketballers face each other for the first time this season. Head coach Gregg Popovich’s troops can’t count on a home bonus in this one. Only 36 percent of their 25 home games so far have ended in a win for the home side – third worst away record in the West.

The Bulls also recently got Zach LaVine back in the squad, which should make the offensive more potent again. For the match in the Lone Star State between the San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls, predictions offer an away win.

Phoenix Suns vs. Minnesota Timberwolves – Jan 29, 03:00

The Suns continue to be unstoppable: they have won exclusively for eight rounds and the first place in the Western Conference is taken more and more comfortably, because at the same time the worst pursuers in the shape of the Warriors, Utah and Grizzlies lack this consistency.

The visitors are also in a good mood, but compared to the basketball players from the Valley, they are on a lower level.

The prediction is underpinned by the home strength of the Williams squad: almost 80 per cent of the 24 games at home in the Footprint Centre so far have been won. In addition, the Timberwolves have to play a back-to-back after last night’s loss to the Warriors and are therefore less physically fresh.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. New York Knicks – Jan 29, 04:00

The Bucks have lost their past two home games against the Knicks. A look back a little further in the timeline shows just how astonishing this record is: previously, New York had picked up eight straight losses at Fiserv Forum.

In addition, the statistics now show four duels in which the guest always came out on top in the end.

The last defeat for the champions came in Cleveland, despite the return of Giannis Antetokounmpo to the squad, who once again delivered the highest number of points of all players on the court.

The feeling of defeat is also very familiar for the New Yorkers: Head Coach Tom Thibodeau’s team has only won one of its last six games. In the game between the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks, however, bets on less than 112.5 points by the home side are interesting.

The champion’s offence has been only partially convincing lately and even remained below a three-digit scoring value in two of the past three games. On top, the guests are at least still comparatively strong defensively, despite all their playing problems.
