Spicy P with problems again?

The Lakers are currently without LeBron James, but are doing well without the top forward: They have won three of the five games without LBJ and have defeated the champions Golden State, among others. Toronto is also a comparatively weak opponent away from home.

LA Lakers – Statistics & current form

The West Coast franchise most recently beat Western Conference runners-up Memphis, but also benefited from the Grizzlies currently being without suspended top guard Ja Morant. Still, you can tell the team is highly motivated and ready to fight to at least make it to the play-in tournament in the West.

The home side currently occupy tenth place in the Conference, which means that they are a hair’s breadth away from achieving this goal for the time being. The home side can also take heart from the fact that they have been solid at home in the recent past: The Lakers have won four of their past five home games.

Toronto Raptors – stats & recent form

The Raps, like their opponents in the East, will have to fight hard to make the postseason. Currently, the 2021 champions are ninth in the Eastern Conference. However, the performances of head coach Nick Nurse’s troops have been very mixed lately with three losses and one win after overtime.

Among other things, Pascal Siakam has been underperforming: The power forward has undercut his seasonal scoring value of 24.6 points in the past five games. The verdict of a current lack of form is not only applicable to him, but also to Fred VanVleet. The guard remained below his average scoring output of 19.3 points in four of the last six games.

LA Lakers – Toronto Raptors Tip

In the clash between the Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto Raptors, the betting and odds on less than 23.5 points by Pascal Siakam seem promising. In the past five games, he has always undercut this limit and it is obvious that “Spicy P” has not approached his performance maximum since the All-Star Break.

So he has an average scoring value of 20.9 points in eight games since then. For comparison: Before the All-Star break, Siakam was still scoring 25.2 points per game.

In addition, the home side has recently improved in the home games and this also in terms of defensive work. Against this background, too, it seems that Siakam will once again deliver a comparatively low Socring yield.
