Golden State Warriors – Statistics & current form
The Californians were especially convincing defensively at the start of the series. They only allowed 87 points for the Mavs. Andrew Wiggins, among others, was efficient in the matchup with Luka Doncic.
Stephen Curry again held back a bit in scoring with 21 points, but presented himself all the stronger in glass-cleaning. A dozen rebounds like in the last game of the NBA Playoffs 2022 are rarely seen from the “chef”.
Head coach Steve Kerr could also be satisfied with his entire starting five: All five players scored in double figures and each pulled down at least five rebounds.
Dallas Mavericks – statistics & current form
The basketball players from the Lone Star State were aware of the difficult previous series. The seven games against Phoenix have obviously taken their toll. In addition, the Texans have a problem with the strong defence of the home side.
Head Coach Jason Kidd had to realise that the Warriors, as they did against Denver, are armed with Nikola Jokic against a similar “big man” like Luka Doncic with their fast and flexible defensive game. The Slovenian finished with just 20 points and remained in single digits in rebounds and assists.
Golden State Warriors – Dallas Mavericks Tip
In the showdown between the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks in Game 2, betting on less than 49.5 points, rebounds and assists by Luka Doncic seems profitable.
The first game showed that the home side will be targeting the point guard as the visitors’ best shooter.
Now it is to be expected that the strong defence of the Warriors will again work on the Slovenian first. In the first match-up, the hosts were able to land several steals by players like Green or Curry against Doncic.
In the end, the “Don” had no less than seven turnovers and remained below his average values from the previous playoffs in terms of points, rebounds and successful assists.
Obviously, the higher pace of the Warriors does not suit him and Dallas, because the guests were ranked last in this ranking during the regular season.
