Lillard back in action!

Detroit has been running out of players lately. Several regulars joined the already long-term injured Cade Cunningham, the home side’s top player, who will be out completely until the end of the season.

The visitors are not free of personnel worries either, but in comparison the hospital in Portland presents itself a little less filled.

Detroit Pistons – statistics & current form

The Pistons rank last in the Eastern Conference and thus play their farewell games for this edition of the NBA in the coming weeks, as they will have nothing to do with the playoffs.

Furthermore, the basket-ball hunters from the Canadian border cannot count on a home bonus: With only eight wins in 31 home games, Detroit also has the weakest record on home soil. On average, the home games are lost by a margin of just under six points.

Portland Trail Blazers – Statistics & Current Form

Portland has not been in good form recently. With the loss of Jusuf Nurkic at the five, performances dropped off. This can easily be seen in the 13 games without the Bosnian veteran, with only five wins and eight defeats.

As a result, the situation in the fight for the playoffs has deteriorated noticeably for the team of head coach Chauncey Billups. The visitors currently occupy only 13th place in the Western Conference.

This would not qualify them for the play-in tournament in the West. With this in mind, the men from the Moda Center cannot afford to slip up in the upcoming game and a win against the bottom team in the East is more or less mandatory.

But to make matters worse, with Anfernee Simons on top, a powerful guard has been unavailable for the last two games.

Detroit Pistons – Portland Trail Blazers Tip

For the duel between Detroit and Portland, the tip and odds on more than 35.5 points by Damian Lillard are worth a recommendation. The guard has to work even more than usual on the offensive end due to the absence of Simons and is currently in a condition designed to do so.

Last night he recorded 41 points in a narrow win at Orlando, although his percentages weren’t even strong with only 25 percent from downtown, for example. However, Portland’s forward play is now completely tailored to him, which is why he takes plenty of throws.

On top of that, the prediction is supported by the fact that Lillard has already exceeded the selected limit in points in six of the past nine games and has an average scoring value of no less than 42.2 points since the All-Star Break.
