Duell zweier schwachen Offensiven!

The bottom team in the East, Detroit, awaits Miami, seventh in the Eastern Conference. The home side have also largely stopped play in the meantime.

Due to a long list of injured players, the already low playing quality of the Michigan franchise is currently even lower.

Detroit Pistons – Statistics & current form

The Pistons have won just one of their last 14 games and are also the weakest team at home in the East. The basketball players from the Midwest have won just 24 percent of their 37 home games.

The home side’s defence is also a permanent problem: only San Antonio in the West allows its opponents more points per game! In addition, the offence is not much better: with an average of around 111 points per game, the home side is once again in third last place in the NBA in this ranking.

Miami Heat – Statistics & current form

Head coach Erik Spoelstra, like his counterpart on the opposing side, cannot be satisfied with his team’s offence. Miami even average fewer points per game than the Pistons and have the weakest output in the league in this ranking.

The fact that the visitors are nevertheless clearly more successful on the road is due to the clearly better defensive work of the franchise from the Sunshine State. Only Cleveland allows fewer points per game on average to its opponents in the NBA!

Detroit Pistons – Miami Heat Tip

In the showdown between Detroit and Miami on 3/19/2023, betting on less than 218.5 points and odds are worth considering. Both teams have weak offences, but the visitors have a very strong defence.

For this reason, Miami’s games are usually stingy with points. Another factor in favour of the prediction is that Miami has to play a back-to-back and will therefore be a little tired. Against this backdrop, too, it does not look like the favourite will score too highly.

Furthermore, the home underdog will be starting with a weakened team, which will further weaken the Pistons’ already deficient offensive line. Last but not least, the prediction is supported by the statistics: Only one of the last five duels ended with more than 218.5 points!
