Will the Cowboys win again on Thanksgiving?

It’s Thanksgiving Time – and therefore time again for the Dallas Cowboys. Alongside the Detroit Lions (playing the Bills beforehand), they are the team regularly seen on TV screens on this American holiday. America’s Team just.

This year, however, there is also an absolute top game to admire. Both the Cowboys and the Giants are at 7-3 wins and are now battling head-to-head for second place in the NFC East. The Boys won the first meeting of these two teams in October with 23:16.

Just last Sunday, the Cowboys sent a clear signal that they are a force to be reckoned with this season. They won 40-3 in Minnesota against the Vikings and destroyed the second-best team in the league.

So they are the clear favourites for the match with the Giants, who recently lost at home to the Lions. So our prediction for Dallas vs. New York is another Cowboys win, with Tony Pollard scoring a touchdown again – as he has in each of his last three games.

Kickoff of the NFC East duel is on Thursday at 10:30 pm in Dallas. The game can be watched live on ProSieben and ran.de.

40:3 and that against the Vikings. Even many NFL experts were surprised by this result. It does seem like the Cowboys are on to something this season. However, this victory was again only one in the regular season – they usually don’t manage something like this in the playoffs.

Nevertheless, this success should give them a boost for the rest of the season. Also for finally winning a Thanksgiving match again. They have lost their last three Thanksgiving games to the Bills, the Commanders and the Raiders.

The Giants sk ind one of their favorite opponents

It’s fitting that one of their favourite opponents, the New York Giants, is now coming to AT&T Stadium. They have won ten of the last eleven duels with NY, all five of them at home. So they are the clear favourites again on Thursday.

It shouldn’t be as clear-cut as against the Vikings, but a double-digit win is possible. Especially if their running back duo Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott perform like they did on Sunday. Both scored two touchdowns each.

Pollard in particular is currently in the form of his life and has scored a total of six touchdowns in the last three games. So for Cowboys vs. Giants, a bet on a TD by the running back is one of our favourite betting options – with still good value.

Defence No.1 in the NFL

At least in points conceded, the Cowboys defence is the best in the entire league. Only against the run does it struggle from time to time (136.1 yards allowed per game). However, since this is the Giants’ strength, trouble could come from this side.

For this reason, we see TD bets on Pollard or Elliott as a little safer than handicap bets. Picks on Over 44.5 total points are also an option in this matchup. The Boys’ last two Thanksgiving games have been high-scoring, with 57 and 69 total points.

Key Players:
QB: Dak Prescott
RB: Tony Pollard
WR: CeeDee Lamb
TE: Dalton Schultz

New York Giants – Statistics & current form

The Floor. That’s where the Giants ended up after the game against the Detroit Lions. Not only did they lose the game 18-31, but it became obvious that, on the whole, they have rather overperformed to date.

This was the view of almost all the experts, who had expected a collapse a little earlier. But their defence was simply too good for that. They allowed an average of 20.4 points, which is still a very good value.

The Giants are statistically clearly inferior to the Cowboys

Now, however, it’s against a Dallas team that is allowing another 3.7 points less on average while still scoring 4.6 more. That makes for a minus 8.3 points to New York’s disadvantage. Almost also the value that is set as a handicap for Dallas.

Since they could only score 13 points in the last away game in Seattle, we are not very optimistic that it will be much more than 20 against Dallas now. And it would have to be to have a realistic chance.

Barkley as the only hope

The only glimmer of hope on the horizon goes by the name of Saquon Barkley. He was already the best Giants player in the first season duel with 81 yards and a touchdown and he could hurt the Boys defence, which is not always solid against the run.

But if Barkley doesn’t have a monster game with at least two touchdowns, the Giants will be at a loss. Thus, Dallas vs. New York odds on Under 20 Giants points are still a playable option, as they are highly unlikely to reach that number.

Key Players:
QB: Daniel Jones
RB: Saquon Barkley
WR: Kenny Golladay
TE: Daniel Bellinger

Dallas Cowboys – New York Giants Head-to-head comparison / H2H record

It’s one of the most lopsided duels in recent years. Of the eleven meetings since 2017, ten have gone to Dallas. The only time New York won a game was in 2020/2021, but that was also the season in which Dak Prescott was almost completely absent.

So the signs are clear and the Cowboys can only beat themselves. With too many penalties, for example. In both past seasons, they were the most penalised team, which cost them numerous games.

But if they can control themselves, they should win the Thanksgiving Game. However, with Cowboys vs Giants odds extremely low on Dallas, betting on a Tony Pollard TD is the more promising betting option.

Dallas Cowboys – New York Giants Tip

The hot Cowboys meet the cooled off Giants. Actually a clear-cut affair, were it not for Thanksgiving. That’s when the Texans have regularly weakened in recent years. Nevertheless, we expect the Texans to win on Thursday.

Thus, for Cowboys vs. Giants, a tip on Tony Pollard’s touchdown is our favourite bet, followed by half-time/final score bets on the Boys. This allows for at least some decent value on tips per Dallas.

A good alternative to a Pollard touchdown is also one from Saquon Barkley on the other side. He’s been good too, finding the end zone six times already this season. Also in Cowboys vs. Giants the betting odds on the exceptional athlete are interesting
