In the second set, with Musetti leading 5-3, the Italian’s passing shot goes out, but the Serbian champion tells the umpire that he touched the ball: from a possible 40-15, the score goes to 30-30, before the Italian breaks serve.

A nice gesture of fair play by Novak Djokovic during his Australian Open quarterfinal match against Lorenzo Musetti. The Serbian champion, down a set and a break, with the Italian leading 5-3, in a delicate scoring situation (30-15, Djokovic serving), conceded the point to his opponent.

What happened was this: Djokovic hit a volley, Musetti recovered and attempted a passing shot, but the ball was deflected by the net and went out. It would have been 40-15, but Nole told the umpire that he had touched the ball. No one else had noticed. The score is now 30-30. Musetti, on advantage, breaks his opponent and wins the set.
