That corresponds to a surreal win rate of 92.6%. The prediction for Iga Swiatek against Coco Gauff is correspondingly clear in favour of the Pole, although her American opponent at the French Open also has a remarkable record of 15 wins against only three losses.
Nevertheless, the head-to-head record and current form speak clearly in favour of Iga Swiatek. Not only has the Pole won all six of her previous encounters with Coco Gauff 2-0, but she also brings the greater momentum into this quarter-final. In the course of the tournament, the world number one has not lost a set and has even won four out of six complete sets.
The betting is accordingly hot that Swiatek will again make short work of Gauff. We are betting on another two-set win with a total handicap of -6.5 games on the Pole.

The 22-year-old Pole Iga Swiatek continues to be the absolute high flyer on the WTA Tour. In 2022 alone, when she won two of her three Grand Slam titles, she brought her record to 21 wins against only two defeats at Grand Slams.
She added four more major titles at WTA 1000 tournaments last year. Only in the new year has the first big coup been a long time coming. The world number one celebrated her two tournament victories in Doha and Stuttgart at WTA 500 tournaments.
The long-distance duel with Aryna Sabalenka continues
On clay, the two-time defending champion surprisingly lost to Elena Rybakina (WTA 6) in the quarter-finals of the Italian Open, although the Pole had to retire at 1-1 due to an injury.
However, the 22-year-old also lost the final of the Madrid Open 2023 1-2 to Aryna Sabalenka (WTA 2), with whom she is currently still in a long-distance duel for first place in the WTA world rankings at Roland Garros. If Iga Swiatek’s bet on her progressing to the semifinals against Coco Gauff is correct, she could defend her leading position in the event of the Belarusian’s elimination. If, on the other hand, the two women meet in the dream final, the winner of the tournament would become the new or old world No. 1.
Won 25 of all 27 singles matches at the French Open
Iga Swiatek’s stunning French Open record is not the only thing in her favour. At the prestigious Paris Grand Slam tournament on the red clay, she won 25 of her 27 completed singles matches. What also speaks for the Pole is the way she stormed into the quarter-finals this year.
Swiatek has not dropped a single set at Roland Garros this year, the last time benefiting from her opponent Lesia Tsurenko retiring in the last 16 at 5:1 in the first set. The Pole has now played a total of six sets on her way to the quarter-finals, winning four of those six sets 6-0. It practically doesn’t get any more dominant than that.

Only 19 years old, Cori Dionne Gauff – called Coco – already played big at the French Open a year ago, where she fought her way to the final.
In the final, however, the lady from Delray Beach, Florida, lost to her quarter-final opponent Iga Swiatek 0:2. A defeat that hurt twice as Coco Gauff also lost the final of the women’s doubles at Roland Garros in 2022.
In six attempts still without a set win against Swiatek
This year, the teenager is once again on two tracks. While she booked her ticket to the quarter-finals in the singles with four wins, she is also in the round of the best eight duos in the women’s doubles with partner Jessica Pegula. Accordingly, her hopes are high that she will win the first Grand Slam title of her young career in one or the other competition this year.
At least in the women’s singles, however, her chances are slim. In the case of Iga Swiatek against Coco Gauff, the odds clearly go in favour of the Polish world number one, who has won all six singles against the American in straight sets with 2:0.

Coco Gauff will of course still give it a go and in view of her performance at Roland Garros, her chances are certainly there. In the round of 16, the 19-year-old just disenchanted Slovakia’s Anna Karolína Schmiedlová (WTA 100) 2-0 (7-5 and 6-2), who had previously beaten Veronika Kudermetova (WTA 11), among others, by a surprisingly clear 2-0 margin and had not lost a set on her way to the round of 16.
The American once again impressed with a poisonous return game. 52% return points won were ultimately too much to stumble despite the serve faltering here and there. Although Coco Gauff committed seven double faults, her own service game held in seven out of ten.
