Will the Cowboys win again on Thanksgiving?
It’s Thanksgiving Time – and therefore time again for the Dallas Cowboys. Alongside the Detroit Lions (playing the Bills beforehand), they are the team regularly seen on TV screens on this American holiday. America’s Team just.
This year, however, there is also an absolute top game to admire. Both the Cowboys and the Giants are at 7-3 wins and are now battling head-to-head for second place in the NFC East. The Boys won the first meeting of these two teams in October with 23:16.
Just last Sunday, the Cowboys sent a clear signal that they are a force to be reckoned with this season. They won 40-3 in Minnesota against the Vikings and destroyed the second-best team in the league.
So they are the clear favourites for the match with the Giants, who recently lost at home to the Lions. So our prediction for Dallas vs. New York is another Cowboys win, with Tony Pollard scoring a touchdown again – as he has in each of his last three games.

It shouldn’t be as clear-cut as against the Vikings, but a double-digit win is possible. Especially if their running back duo Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott perform like they did on Sunday. Both scored two touchdowns each.
Pollard in particular is currently in the form of his life and has scored a total of six touchdowns in the last three games. So for Cowboys vs. Giants, a bet on a TD by the running back is one of our favourite betting options – with still good value.
Defence No.1 in the NFL
At least in points conceded, the Cowboys defence is the best in the entire league. Only against the run does it struggle from time to time (136.1 yards allowed per game). However, since this is the Giants’ strength, trouble could come from this side.
For this reason, we see TD bets on Pollard or Elliott as a little safer than handicap bets. Picks on Over 44.5 total points are also an option in this matchup. The Boys’ last two Thanksgiving games have been high-scoring, with 57 and 69 total points.

New York Giants – Statistics & current form
The Floor. That’s where the Giants ended up after the game against the Detroit Lions. Not only did they lose the game 18-31, but it became obvious that, on the whole, they have rather overperformed to date.
This was the view of almost all the experts, who had expected a collapse a little earlier. But their defence was simply too good for that. They allowed an average of 20.4 points, which is still a very good value.
The Giants are statistically clearly inferior to the Cowboys
Now, however, it’s against a Dallas team that is allowing another 3.7 points less on average while still scoring 4.6 more. That makes for a minus 8.3 points to New York’s disadvantage. Almost also the value that is set as a handicap for Dallas.
Since they could only score 13 points in the last away game in Seattle, we are not very optimistic that it will be much more than 20 against Dallas now. And it would have to be to have a realistic chance.
Barkley as the only hope
The only glimmer of hope on the horizon goes by the name of Saquon Barkley. He was already the best Giants player in the first season duel with 81 yards and a touchdown and he could hurt the Boys defence, which is not always solid against the run.
