Warriors with the ‘Dagger’ for the series?
The Golden State Warriors missed out on a sweep against the Denver Nuggets in their last game and now have to face the Colorado basketball team in Game 5.
For head coach Steve Kerr, it would have been the seventh series during his career that he won without a loss as the Warriors’ coach.

The “Dubs” have averaged 122 points in the NBA postseason so far, the highest output of any team in the postseason. In addition, no other franchise tops the field goal rate of 53.1 percent.
The “Splash Brothers” deserve a lot of the credit for this. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson together have an average scoring value of 52 points per game!

However, it was not only the “Joker” who played stronger again, but also several bench players within the team of Head Coach Michael Malone. One example was the rookie Bones Hyland with 15 points and seven assists.

It’s a statistic they’re just as familiar with in the Mile High City, of course, but at least the Malone squad avoided a sweep thanks to the win in the last game. The success has naturally boosted the visitors’ confidence.
Moreover, Denver fans now remember the 2020 season, when the Nuggets turned around a 1-3 deficit twice in a row in that year’s postseason.
A double feat that no other team in the NBA has been able to accomplish before or since.
However, even this proof of the enormous willpower of Malone’s troops does little to change the fundamental role of the Californians as favourites, who with their “Splash Brothers” Curry and Thompson have been particularly convincing offensively so far.
