Will the Grizzlies’ winning streak continue?

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Memphis Grizzlies – 05 January, 01:00 hrs
The Cavs have lost the last two meetings with the Grizzlies. Moreover, things are not going well at the moment: only one win has been picked up in the last four rounds of games. Although the home side still has the third-best defensive record in the NBA, the defensive work has been weaker of late.
Over the past four days, they have allowed an average of just under 111 points to opponents. The reason is the tight personnel situation, as important players like Rubio or Garland are missing.
The Grizzlies, on the other hand, travel with five wins and the last triumph came last night at a top team in the East – in the shape of the Brooklyn Nets. Coach Taylor Jenkins’ squad is thus very stable and can rely on Ja Morant, among others, in the offensive line: The ROTY of 2020 was currently also named “Player of the Week” in the West.
For the duel in Ohio between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Memphis Grizzlies, the tip aims for an away win.
Toronto Raptors vs. San Antonio Spurs – 05 January, 01:00 hrs
The visitors are on a streak of three straight losses. Even at the bottom of the league in Detroit they lost, although only after overtime and with 116:117 very close.
However, things should be better now, because in the last three games the best player on the visitors’ side, Dejounte Murray, was always missing. Now the point guard is back on board after overcoming quarantine.
The 26-year-old has delivered a strong season so far, which is why the Spurs will be happy about his comeback. Six triple-doubles already show that Murray is a real all-rounder on the court.
The Canadians, however, have recently revived their home strength, winning four of their last five games at Scotiabank Arena. In the game between the Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs, predictions for the next home win with at least a four-point difference are therefore worth a recommendation.
Admittedly, as described, with Murray an absolute performer of the guests is available again, but the point guard still shows a lack of competitive practice due to his forced break, at least in this game.
New York Knicks vs. Indiana Pacers – 05 January, 01:30 hrs
The Knicks and Pacers have already faced each other three times this season and the home side has always won. Through this, the guests travel with two wins and one loss in this pairing. The New Yorkers, on the other hand, have been strong defensively of late: They have allowed an average of only 97 points to their opponents in the past four games.
At the same time, however, there is room for improvement on the offensive end, as they have managed just under 94 points per game in this flashback. Against this backdrop, the betting odds for the showdown in Madison Square Garden between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers can be set at less than 209.5 points.
In the case of the hosts, this limit has only been exceeded in the most recent of the past five games. On top of that, the visitors are worried about the deployment of their most recent top scorer Caris LeVert (Covid-19 protocol).
New Orleans Pelicans vs. Phoenix Suns – 05 Jan, 02:00
The Pelicans have to play a back-to-back and are running decimated. Moreover, the statistics of the pairing do not bode well for the home side: Only two of the last eight meetings with the Arizona basketball team have been won. However, within this time span, three encounters were lost in overtime.
The visitors are also the second strongest away team in the West and have only lost four of their 16 away games. For the clash between the New Orleans Pelicans and Phoenix Suns, betting tips on another away win with at least a seven-point difference are a good idea.
This is also supported by the aforementioned fact that the hosts are tired, having already faced Utah last night. An opponent whose strength is furthermore comparable to the upcoming opponent, as they are table neighbours in the Western Conference.
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Sacramento Kings – January 05, 04:30am
The Lakers’ last home game against the Kings last November was an epic affair: only after three overtimes was the winner determined in the shape of the Sac-Town hoopsters! However, the home side returned the favour a few days later with an away win.
The pairing is therefore even from a seasonal point of view. It also does not bode well for the respective hosts. Only two of the past eight meetings have ended in a home victory!
For the game at the Crypto.com Arena between the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings, bets on an away win, including a handicap of +7.5 points for the visitors, seem promising.
The Kings have hardly any personnel problems at the moment and this is reflected in their recently stronger performances: They beat Miami in the last game and won their third game in the last four in retrospect. The home side, on the other hand, will still have to do without their top player Anthony Davis.
