The Bavarians with the last squad in Kiev
When you have to cope with a lot of absences of star players, some clubs really start to falter. That will not be the case for Bayern in the top flight on Tuesday. Although the German record champions are missing numerous important players, the fact that they have already booked their ticket to the last 16 means that the absences in the Ukrainian capital will not be of much significance.
In the Group E table, Bayern are at the top of the standings with twelve points and no losses. Only in theory could they still be caught by FC Barcelona. The Catalans are in second place with six points. At least this position is still fiercely contested in this pool, because Benfica Lisbon is also striving for second place.
The Portuguese have four points and even bottom-placed Dynamo Kiev are not yet out of contention with one point. Especially with regard to third place, the Ukrainians need a win on Tuesday, but if we look at the odds, the bookmakers tested between Dynamo Kiev and Bayern give a clear prediction on a guest victory.
However, the Munich side have failed to win their last three Champions League games in Ukraine. In view of the supposed insignificance and the many absences of the Munich team, one may tend to bet on a point win for the Ukrainians in the match Dynamo Kiev vs Bayern Munich.
Dynamo Kiev – Statistics & current form
Of course it is something completely different whether you play in the Ukrainian league or in the Champions League. In Ukraine, Dynamo Kiev are top with 38 points after 15 matchdays. However, Shakhtyor Donetsk are tied for second place. There is already a large gap behind them, so the prospects of playing in the top flight next season are good.
Goalless Ukrainians
However, Mircea Lucescu’s side can still be classified as a lightweight. The Ukrainian champions have yet to score a goal in the Champions League this season. Robert Lewandowski has taken more shots on goal than the entire Dynamo team. Therefore, you might want to check the odds between Dynamo Kiev and Bayern on a win for FCB.
Moreover, Dynamo Kiev have only won one game in ten in the top flight under Mircea Lucescu. At least things are going better in the Premier League. Dynamo Kiev won 6-1 at Chernomorez Odessa at the weekend, with Vitaliy Buyalskyi and Vitinho both scoring twice. Vladislay Kulach and Denys Garmash were the other scorers.
It seems conceivable that coach Mircea Lucescu will send a slightly different formation onto the pitch on Tuesday. Denys Garmash in particular should be a hot candidate for the starting eleven. The injured Denys Popov, Vladyslav Supryaga, Artem Besedin and Ibrahim Kargbo will definitely be absent.
Predicted line-up of Dynamo Kiev:
Bushchan – Kedziora, Syrota, Zabarnyi, Mykolenko – Shaparenko, Buyalskyi, de Pena – Sydorchuk, Tsygankov – Garmash – Coach: Lucescu

Bayern – statistics & current form
Bayern have made the odd slip-up this season, but on balance it has to be said that things are still going extremely well for the record champions. They are already safely through to the next round in the Champions League and Nagelsmann’s team is also top of the Bundesliga. Only the elimination in the DFB Cup is a setback that can no longer be eradicated.
Stumbling Bayern
So Bayern have just won three of their last four games. It is clear that the Munich team is always good for a lot of goals. They have scored 14 goals in their last four games. In the top flight, the FCB has even scored 17 goals. Only Paris Saint-Germain has managed that after four matchdays. Therefore, it is not too far-fetched to predict a lot of goals between Dynamo Kiev and Bayern.
There were also excess goals in Bayern’s appearance in the Bundesliga last Friday in Augsburg. However, the distribution of goals was not what one might have expected in advance. FCA took a 2:0 lead in the first period. Robert Lewandowski’s follow-up goal was not enough to bring home anything of note in the Bavarian derby.
Niklas Süle and Josip Stanisic could still get time off but will not travel with the team to Kiev and may not be an option until the weekend in the Bundesliga. Joshua Kimmich, Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Michael Cuisance are in domestic quarantine and Dayot Upamecano is serving a yellow ban. Marcel Sabitzer and Kingsley Coman are also two injured players in the squad.
Predicted Bayern line-up:
Neuer – Pavard, Nianzou, Hernandez – Tolisso, Goretzka – Coman, Müller, Sane, Davies – Lewandowski – Coach: Nagelsmann
Last matches played by Bayern:
1st Bundesliga
11/19 2021 – Augsburg 2 – 1 Bayern Munich
11/06 2021 – Bayern Munich 2 – 1 SC Freiburg
Champions League Grp. E
11/02 2021 – Bayern Munich 5 – 2 Benfica
1st Bundesliga
10/30 2021 – Union Berlin 2 – 5 Bayern Munich
DFB Cup
10/27 2021 – Borussia Mönchengladbach 5 – 0 Bayern Munich
Dynamo Kiev – Bayern Direct comparison / H2H balance
The match between Dynamo Kiev and Bayern Munich is always something special. After all, the Ukrainians won the European Super Cup against the sheerly superior Bayern in 1975. In total, the two clubs have faced each other in eleven direct duels. In the direct comparison, Bayern are ahead with 6:4 victories and a single draw.
On the other hand, the Ukrainians have won only one of seven games against Bayern in the Champions League. Dynamo’s last victory was more than 21 years ago. However, the only other match after that was the first leg in the current competition, which the Munich side won 5-0 at the Allianz Arena after goals from Lewandowski 2, Gnabry, Sane and Choupo-Moting.
Dynamo Kiev – Bayern Tip
Dynamo Kiev are still without a win in the Champions League this season and even completely without a goal of their own. A home win is almost inevitable if they want to make it into the Europa League at least as third in the group. With Bayern, however, they now face an opponent who has a lot to live up to.
It has to be said, though, that there are a few question marks behind the Munich team. The German champions have already advanced one round and are almost certain to win their group. In addition, numerous players are missing, although it must be said that the starting eleven should still have enough quality to clearly put the Ukrainians in their place.
If Dynamo Kiev remain goalless on Tuesday and Bayern live up to their reputation as the most goal-hungry team in the top flight, then we could even see another clear away win. Therefore, we have decided to play the betting odds on a handicap win (-1.5) for the Munich team between Dynamo Kiev and Bayern.
