Does Liverpool continue their winning streak?

Liverpool manage to be on an extremely high level again this season. The Reds can rotate, deal with individual breakdowns or have a less than ideal day. In the end, the results are almost always positive.

Before the Liverpool vs Brighton match, the odds show a very clear bias towards the hosts. Liverpool are clearly favoured and a home win is considered very likely by the bookmakers. Not only form, but also individual quality plays a role here.

But Brighton, even if the last few weeks were not paved with victories, remains a team that should not be underestimated. Kick-off for the game at Anfield Road is at 4pm on Saturday.

Liverpool – Statistics & current form

Liverpool are playing at a very good level again this season, managing to get their performances on the pitch in all competitions so far. During the week, coach Jürgen Klopp rotated a lot, but still managed to advance in the EFL Cup with a dream goal by Divock Origi. So everything is currently in order for the Reds, who have very high ambitions in the league again this season.

However, the Reds now face an opponent who is anything but easy to play against. Liverpool picked up just one point against Brighton in pre-season and the Seagulls have certainly not got any worse since then. Ahead of the Liverpool v Brighton game, however, the betting odds still point to the Reds being clear favourites. This is mainly due to their form.

Liverpool won the last two league games against Watford and Manchester United with 5:0. A team cannot dominate much more than the Klopp eleven did in the last two games. The automatisms, especially in the quick switching game, are still excellent.

Liverpool want to get the next win

In their current form, Liverpool are extremely difficult to defeat. Coach Klopp’s team is currently one of the hottest contenders for the Premier League title, and the bookmakers agree. It is impressive how the hosts always get the best out of their games and players. A very good example of this is Mohamed Salah, who is currently almost unstoppable with 10 goals in the league.

In total, the Reds have now not lost 19 games in a row in the Premier League – an absolutely impressive rate. In the new season, the offensive is a particularly important factor, as Liverpool have already scored three or more goals in ten competitive matches.

Due to these results and the starting position, a simple bet on the Reds does not seem particularly lucrative. Therefore, before the Brighton vs Liverpool match, our prediction is that more than 2.5 goals will be scored. This has been the case in many games involving the Reds recently, although the goals have mostly been very one-sided.

Predicted Liverpool line-up:
Alisson – Alexander-Arnold, van Dijk, Konate, Robertson – Keita, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain – Mané, Salah, Jota

Brighton – Statistics & current form

Brighton & Hove Albion are currently being watched with excitement by football fans. Graham Potter has managed to give this team a very special style. Brighton play attractive, energetic football with lots of short passes and passing. It is fun and promises success this season.

Before the matchday, Brighton were in fifth place in the Premier League with a strong 15 points. Even the 1:4 defeat last matchday against Manchester City did not bother the team much. Brighton were again driven by enthusiasm for the game and kept playing forward.

The mixture of good offensive approaches and a compact, controlled defence is what makes this team so strong. In the Premier League Brighton played four times to nil and only twice conceded more than one goal at all. These are the foundations for success. However, the Seagulls now face a second successive challenge in the form of Liverpool.

Brighton must perform at the highest level

It is definitely clear that the visitors will need one of their best performances of the season to be successful against Liverpool. During the week there was a defeat in the EFL Cup against Leicester, but with some changes and also only in a penalty shootout. That should not affect the team in the long term.

With the courage that Brighton often shows, even against the currently outstanding opponents from Liverpool at least a goal should be possible. Therefore, before the Liverpool vs Brighton match, our value tip is also that both teams will score.

Predicted line-up of Brighton:
Sanchez – Dunk, Webster, Burn – Lamptey, Moder, Bissouma, Cucurella, Mac Allister – Trossard, Maupay

Liverpool – Brighton Direct Comparison / H2H Record

33 times in total there was the duel between Brighton and Liverpool. 19 of these games went to the Reds. Only five times the Seagulls left the pitch successfully. In nine games there was no winner in the end.

Liverpool – Brighton Tip

Liverpool are in fantastic form at the moment and one of the hottest teams in Europe. The team impresses with excellent flows in the offensive area and also defends consistently and well as a whole team. This makes the Reds a contender for many titles.

But Brighton also have qualities in their own ranks, played four times to zero and were in a good fifth place before the matchday. Offensive approaches can also be seen from the guests. Therefore, our tip before the Liverpool vs. Brighton match is that a total of more than 2.5 goals will be scored. The distribution is more likely to be in favour of the Reds.
