Aston Villa want to stop the downward trend and Norwich are in a basement duel
A three-way battle between Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool is shaping up at the top of the Premier League table. The Blues now have manageable tasks ahead of them with Newcastle and the Citizens with Crystal Palace. The upcoming match is a little more difficult for the Klopp eleven.
The Reds take on fifth-placed Brighton. In addition, there is a basement duel between the last-place team in the table from Norwich and the fourth-place team from Leeds. In addition, Aston Villa, among others, want to stop the downward trend of the last three defeats in a row against West Ham.
The crisis clash between Tottenham and Manchester United also promises to be exciting.
Leicester v Arsenal – 30 October, 13:30
The Foxes await Arsenal, a team in stable form: the Londoners have not lost for six rounds of matches. Last matchday, they defeated Aston Villa to record their fourth success in this review. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, among others, has stepped up his game with goals in three of the last four league games.
The home side, however, will be banking on home advantage. Recently, even the Red Devils’ mega away series of 29 unbeaten games could be stopped with a three-goal win. Patson Daka is also in good form: the 23-year-old from Zambia scored a whopping four goals in the most recent Europa League match at Spartak Moscow!
The new signing from Red Bull Salzburg also celebrated his first goal in a Foxes shirt on the penultimate matchday in only his second league game, and with less than a quarter of an hour of action.
With Jamie Vardy having been substituted at half-time in the recent win at Brentford due to an injury and now possibly out, the youngster looks set to make his first starting appearance. There are no favourites in this pairing, so betting on a draw in this matchday 10 Premier League clash is the way to go.
Burnley v Brentford – 30 October, 16:00
The Clarets are fast becoming draw specialists: Last Saturday’s 2-2 draw on the south coast at Southampton was the third point-split in the flashback to the past four rounds of fixtures. Both goals were scored by Lyon newcomer Gnaly Cornet.
The Ivory Coast striker is going from strength to strength and is on three goals after just four Premier League appearances! However, the hosts still haven’t managed a win this season. The Bees again arrive with two defeats in a row.
However, the most recent opponents, top of the table Chelsea and Leicester, were very difficult. Basically, the promoted team can be satisfied with the course of the season: With three wins, three defeats and three draws, the record is completely balanced. For the evenly matched clash at Turf Moor in the Premier League on matchday 10, predictions of a draw seem fruitful.
Liverpool v Brighton – 30 October, 16:00
The Reds picked up a 5-1 thumping victory in the top-of-the-table clash at Old Trafford last Sunday night. “Man of the Match” was Mohamed Salah with a hat-trick and assist.
The Egyptian now leads the Premier League scoring charts with ten goals and has played a major part in Liverpool having the best attack in the British top flight to date.
The Seagulls, for their part, suffered only their second defeat of the season against the champions and can still live with the way the season has gone so far in fifth place, although they have not managed a win for four rounds of matches.
The 4-1 loss to the Citizens hurt, however, because the defence had been strong before. This can be seen in the total of only nine goals conceded after as many rounds of matches.
For the clash at Anfield Road in the Premier League on Matchday 10, there is enough value in the odds for a home win – including an interval lead. Six of the home side’s nine league games have already ended with this fixture – the highest value together with Chelsea.
Watford vs. Southampton – 30 October, 16:00
Watford have already lost five of their nine games in the British top flight this season – only bottom of the table Norwich have more defeats. The reason is the shaky defence: Only the Magpies and again the bottom team have conceded more goals.
However, the last matchday may have been a turning point for the better: The Hornets won 5-2 at Everton! The Saints are another inconsistent opponent: Hasenhüttl’s team only managed one win on the penultimate matchday at home against Leeds.
Given the boost from the match win at the Toffees, betting on a home win at Vicarage Road in the Premier League on matchday 10 looks lucrative.
Manchester City v Crystal Palace – 30 October, 16:00
The Citizens recently rolled over Brighton 4-1 in league action and can bank on the home bonus in addition to their own very good form. Coach Pep Guardiola’s charges are the only team not to have conceded a goal on home soil!
Crystal Palace are also weak away from home: only Norwich have picked up fewer points away from home than the paltry two in the visitors’ case on their footballing tours of duty. With that in mind, odds on a home win to nil represent the oddsmakers’ first choice in this matchday 10 Premier League clash.
Newcastle v Chelsea – 30 October, 16:00
The Magpies have a new coach since the last matchday. On an interim basis, previous co-coach Graeme Jones is currently in charge of the Newcastle side. Steve Bruce’s successor recorded a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace on his debut last weekend.
The defence in particular improved: for only the third time this season, the team did not concede at least two goals. Now, however, the home side’s backline will have to face a very powerful opposing attack.
The Blues recently dismantled Norwich 7-0 at Stamford Bridge and did so without injured strikers Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner.
For the clash at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on matchday 10, betting tips on a maximum of two goals by the visitors are nevertheless a good idea due to the recently improved home defence and the tight personnel situation in Chelsea’s attack as described above.
Tottenham v Manchester – Oct 30, 6:30pm
The Lilywhites were recently beaten 1-0 by West Ham in the London derby. Hopes of a sustained upturn after two wins against Aston Villa and Newcastle have been dashed again for now. The situation is even more bitter for the visitors.
Manchester were recently shown up by Liverpool at home to Old Trafford and conceded a 1:5 defeat. The record holders have picked up just one point from the last four rounds of matches and a red card against LFC means Paul Pogba will have to watch on in midfield.
For the match between two struggling teams in the Premier League on Matchday 10, tips on a draw are advisable.
Norwich v Leeds United – 31 October, 15:00
The Canaries let themselves be completely plucked at Chelsea last weekend: with 0:7 they conceded the highest defeat of the season and still the promoted team has not recorded a three-pointer this season. In addition, Farke’s team has the fewest goals and the most conceded goals in a league-wide comparison.
Leeds, however, were also close to a home defeat against Wolverhampton. It took a very late goal for coach Marcelo Bielsa’s men to at least manage a draw. A weak point this season has been the defence, with 16 goals conceded after nine rounds of matches.
In light of this, the odds on both sides scoring in the matchday 10 Premier League match at Norwich are interesting. While the hosts boast the weakest attack in the league, as described, their only two goals of the season have come at home and United are yet to pick up a clean sheet away from home.
Aston Villa v West Ham – Oct 31, 5:30pm
The Villans are in a crisis: the last three rounds of games ended in defeat. At least the offence continues to work: in all three defeats they scored at least once. West Ham have a similar problem in some areas: The attack is reliable, but the defence is often not secure.
The 1:0 against Tottenham last Sunday was only the third clean sheet in league play. For this reason, the games between the two rivals have been high-scoring so far: the average number of goals scored by the home side is 3.1 and 2.9 by the visitors.
For this reason, the odds on more than 2.5 goals by the final whistle are worth recommending for the clash at Villa Park in the Premier League within the 10th matchday. A limit that both teams have surpassed in two-thirds of their games so far this season.
Wolverhampton v Everton – 01 November, 21:00
Wolves have stabilised after a poor start to the season, not losing for four rounds and winning three of the games in this flashback. The season has been a contrasting one for the visitors from the Mersey.
It’s been three matchdays without a treble and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a top striker, is still out through injury. The home side’s upturn in fortunes and the visitors’ personnel situation mean that predictions are for a home win in this Premier League clash on Matchday 10.
