Daniil Medvedev has gone on an absolute run since his third round exit at the Australian Open 2023. The Russian won three tournaments in a row before reaching the final of the Sunshine Double in Indian Wells the week before last, where he was beaten by Carlos Alcaraz. Now he wants to attack again in Miami. The odds are in his favour for Quentin Halys against Daniil Medvedev to make it into the quarter-finals.
The Russian has won 20 of his last 21 singles matches and did not miss a beat, especially against players far away from the current Top 10. The Moscow native also made short work of Roberto Carballés Baena in his opening match, winning 2-0 (6-1 and 6-2).

Having last reached the final of the Australian Open in both 2021 and 2022, the Moscow-born player failed remarkably early this year in round three of the major tennis tournament Down Under.

However, this has truly not negatively affected Daniil Medvedev’s season. Since the Melbourne exit, the Moscow native has won 20 of his subsequent 21 singles matches. That brought him three consecutive singles titles on the ATP Tour in Rotterdam, Doha and Dubai, where he now has a total of 18 tournament victories in singles.
Overall, the Russian’s record for the year is also absolutely remarkable. The Muscovite won 25 of the 28 singles he played. The forecast for the 27-year-old’s progress in Quentin Halys against Daniil Medvedev is correspondingly clear.
