Djokovic ensures a clear balance of power
Novak Djokovic has made a successful start to the grass court classic at Wimbledon. The world number two from Serbia recorded a clear victory over Vit Kopriva in the first round in London. Now he faces a match against an up-and-coming youngster. In our opinion, a bet on Jacob Fearnley against Novak Djokovic is inevitable
Winning a set would be a big surprise for the young Brit. As the Wimbledon betting odds show, odds above the 2.70 mark are currently being offered for this scenario. Nevertheless, it should be noted that Fearnley also made a successful start to the tournament and won without dropping a set against Moro Canas.
Compared to the Spaniard, Novak naturally has completely different qualities. The result against Moro Canas should therefore not be overrated with regard to the second round match. Our Fearnley vs. Djokovic prediction aims for a clear victory for the “Djoker.”
Jacob Fearnley – Statistics & current form
Jacob Fearnley has reached the second round of Wimbledon for the first time in his career. The youngster qualified for the grass court classic in London thanks to a wild card. The Briton celebrated a successful start to the tournament with a 3-0 win over Alejandro Moro Canas and played with a promising service ratio.
In three sets, Fearnley won 85% of his points on his first serve. The world number 277 even had eight aces to celebrate. Fearnley was not broken once during his service games, although his Spanish opponent had several break points.
Now Fearnley goes into his biggest match of his career against Novak Djokovic and is logically the clear underdog. Every match won is already a sense of achievement for the young Brit. However, betting on a set win involves a lot of risk
What can Fearnley do against Novak?
Jacob Fearnley has already played nine matches on grass this year. The youngster has won eight of these nine encounters – including seven on the Challenger Tour. Among other things, there was a tournament victory in Nottingham to celebrate. Fearnley also won against players such as Jubb and Bellucci without losing a set.
In Eastbourne, the 22-year-old was defeated by Billy Harris. Surprisingly, Fearnley did not win a set in this match. The young Briton only won 72% of his points on his first serve. With similar statistics, a surprise against a seasoned grass court player like Djokovic will not be possible
Novak Djokovic – statistics & current form
Novak is aiming for the next Grand Slam triumph. The Serb starts the grass court classic in London as one of the favorites to win the title. Just under a month ago, the world number two had to pull out of the French Open – without a fight, mind you. The Serbian tennis star was unable to reach the quarter-finals due to injury.
After his injury-related break, the “Djoker” is now back in London. With his clear victory against Kopriva (3:0), the Grand Slam record winner landed a liberating blow on the hallowed turf in Wimbledon. If he can build on this, Novak shouldn’t have too much trouble against Fearnley either.
There are currently Wimbledon odds of 1.40 for another 3-0 win for Djokovic, who only dropped five games over three sets against Vit Kopriva. It therefore makes sense to bet on the co-favorite to win the tournament again
Not knocked out in the second round since 2008
The Serb shouldn’t have too much trouble in the second round of Wimbledon. Novak has not been eliminated in this round of the grass court classic for 16 years. The seven-time Wimbledon champion has won four tournaments and reached one final in his last five appearances at the Grand Slam in London.
It is therefore not at all surprising that Novak is still one of the favorites in London, even at his advanced tennis age. Against an inexperienced player like Fearnley, it is almost impossible that the world number two will have to give up. Especially as the match will only be decided in the best-of-five, as is well known

Jacob Fearnley – Novak Djokovic betting tip
Both players mastered the first round at Wimbledon with ease. Jacob Fearnley came through with a 3-0 win against Alejandro Moro Canas. Novak Djokovic, on the other hand, won 3-0 against Vit Kopriva. The Serbian’s three sets were clear-cut results: 6:1, 6:2 and 6:2.
If the momentum is carried over, Jacob Fearnley will also have no chance against the seven-time Wimbledon champion. The youngster is still an unknown quantity at the grass court classic and is taking part in the Grand Slam in London for the first time ever. His role as the clear underdog is therefore by no means surprising
We place our Fearnley vs Djokovic bet on a 3:0 win for the Serbian tennis pro. Novak shouldn’t have too much trouble against the young Brit and should also overcome the second round with a clear result. We use seven units for our prediction
