The VFL Wolfsburg started the Bundesliga season surprisingly well after the embarrassing cup defeat (substitution error) and took the full 12 points from the first four games. In the meantime, however, the Lower Saxony have stumbled somewhat and took their first defeat last Saturday at TSG Hoffenheim.
The VFL ranks third with 13 points and had to hand over the second place in the standings to Bayer Leverkusen. The team from the Lower Rhine won in front of their own fans against Borussia Dortmund and thus won the top game on Saturday night.
