The tragic passing of the Fiorentina president now calls for a difficult decision: the official decision is expected in the coming hours.

“It is with great pain and sadness that the Commisso family, including his wife Catherine, his children Giuseppe and Marisa, and his sisters Italia and Raffaelina, announce the passing of President Rocco B. Commisso. After a long period of treatment, our beloved President has left us, and today we all mourn his passing.” With this statement, Fiorentina announced the passing of President Commisso during the night. The news, which has shocked the world of soccer and Fiorentina fans in particular, now raises another question: will the match between Bologna and Fiorentina, scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, January 18, at 3 p.m., go ahead?

At the moment, there has been no statement from Fiorentina nor any official decision from the Serie A League. Considering the commitments of the two teams, which are currently still involved in three competitions, it is difficult to imagine a hypothetical rescheduling of the match before March. A final decision is expected in the coming hours.

What happens to the fantasy league—  If the match is not rescheduled before the start of the 22nd matchday, the match will be counted as a 6. Here is what the Sports Prediction Fantasy League rules say: “For all matches postponed and/or suspended regardless of the reason and played/rescheduled before the start date of the next championship round (including early matches), all players, except those who are disqualified, and coaches of the teams involved will receive a regular evaluation. For all matches postponed and/or suspended for any reason and played/recovered after the start date of the next championship round (including early matches), all players on the teams involved, excluding those who are disqualified, will receive 6 points, while all coaches on the teams involved will receive 1 point.”
