Will the Magpies stay on course for the Champions League?
West Ham United celebrated important home victories over Southampton, Nottingham and Everton. With 27 points, the Hammers’ lead over the first relegation place is still only one point, which is why the situation remains precarious.

Newcastle – Statistics & current form
What has been invested at Newcastle United in recent transfer periods by the new owner, namely the consortium led by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund Public Investment Fund, is still noticeably topped by some other Premier League clubs. Nevertheless, the current success of the north-easterners is primarily due to the new financial injection.
However, coach Eddie Howe has also been able to form a remarkable unit out of the revamped team, which is playing for a return to the Champions League after a 21-year abstinence, especially because just 19 goals have been conceded in 27 league games – the best figure in the league.
