VfB Stuttgart v Greuther Fürth Tipp & Quoten, 14.08.2021 – 15:30 o’clock
VfB Stuttgart will be hosting the first match day of the new Bundesliga season on Saturday afternoon, 14.08.2021 at 15:30, at the Mercedes-Benz Arena Greuther Fürth in Stuttgart. The Swabians played a very good season as promoted teams and finished ninth in the league table at the end of the season (45 points). With a victory against Fortuna Düsseldorf on the last day of the game, the francs moved into second place and were promoted directly to the 1st division. Most recently, there was first division football at the Ronhof eight years ago.

Pellegrino Matarazzo’s team was still in contention for a place in the European Cup until the end of the pre-season. For the Conference League, however, five points and a few goals were missing in the end. The last home game of the season against fellow promoted Arminia Bielefeld didn’t quite go as hoped. After a good start, Kalajdzic scored the supposed 1:0 for the VfB (34th). However, the Austrian forward was whistled back by the video referee due to an offside position. After the side change, the East Westphalians made use of their opportunities and went through toilets with 1:0 in the lead (66th, goalie). The Arminia repeatedly placed needle stings forward, rewarding themselves with a 2-0 victory (72nd, Doan). Nothing happened in the final phase.
The Matarazzo team were able to win the two league games against Augsburg and Gladbach with 2:1 each before the last match day. Before that, however, the Swabians took four bankruptcies in a row and thus ultimately missed out on participation in the European Cup. Three of the last four home appearances have been lost by the VfB – Dortmund (2:3), Wolfsburg (1:3), Augsburg (2:1), Bielefeld (0:2). Stuttgart had the biggest problems on the defensive last season (55 goals conceded). Only four teams had to accept even more goals.
On the weekend, the first cup round started for the South Germans at BFC Dynamo. The VfB had no problems at all in the fourth division and won clearly with 6:0 in the capital.
To start the new season, the Swabians will have to do without some players due to injury – Lilian Egloff, Silas Katompa Mvumpa, Chris Führich, Momo Cisse, Clinton Mola, Naouirou Ahamada and Orel Mangala will have to fit. Nikolas Nartey, Tanguy Coulibaly and Sasa Kalajdzic (Corona virus) will not be there either.

On the last day of the 2nd league game, the clover was once again in good shape. Before the duel with Düsseldorf, the Franks were in third place and benefited from the Kiel home defeat against Darmstadt 98. From Fürther’s point of view, the game against the Rhineland started badly with Peterson’s early lead for the Fortuna (26th). Shortly before the half-time whistle, Stach flew with red from the pitch (45th +3rd). With one man less, Stefan Leitl’s team delivered an excellent performance and turned the game around. A converted penalty from Hrgota to 1:1 (53rd) countered Düsseldorf three minutes later with another lead (56th, Appelkamp). The Fürthers, however, put the shorthanded neck to good use and actually turned the game through the goals of Green (69th) to 2:2 and Abiama to 3:2 victory (83rd). The ascent was certain.
The Leitl team lost only one of the last ten games in the House of Commons and was the winner six times during this period. Likewise, only one of the last nine away games was lost (four wins, four draws). The trefoils were the strongest guest team in the lower house and also scored the most goals in the foreign country (35). After 34 matchdays only the HSV (71) hit the box more often than Fürth (69). With 44 goals conceded, only two teams were safer at the back.
In the first round of the DFB Cup, the Bundesliga player embarrassed himself a few days ago at the regional league team Babelsberg 03 and flew out after a penalty shootout. After 90 minutes, it was 2-2 against the fourth division side. No goals were scored in overtime.
The francs have a number of battered players who are at risk for a Saturday stake. Robin Kehr, Elias Kratzer, Simon Asta, Marco Meyerhöfer, Luca Itter, Havard Nielsen, Max Christiansen and Jessic Ngankam are partially injured or ill. Your bets will only be decided in the short term.

Greuther Fürth: 0 wins – 2 draws – 3 losses
6 wins VfB Stuttgart – 0 draw – 4 wins Greuther Fürth
VfB Stuttgart is in the favourites role against Greuther Fürth. The Swabians have home advantage and meet a promoter, who was the best away team in the 2nd league and scored the most goals in the foreign league. The last seven Bundesliga players of the Matarazzo team were bad with only two victories and five defeats. On the other hand, the climber comes from the Ronhof with euphoria to Swabia after the surprising ascent. The cup embarrassment against Babelsberg, however, must quickly drop the Leitl team, otherwise they will be able to pursue the promoted team even longer. We are guessing a scoring duel in the Mercedes-Benz Arena and a narrow victory for Stuttgart.
So we recommend for this Bundesliga tip prognosis the 3-way betting on VfB Stuttgart wins. Alternatively, you can also consider the Over 2.5 Goals bets. Here the tip wins if at least 3 goals are scored in the match. Depending on the tip, the odds offered will then vary. Personally, we favor more of the former tip on the VfB.
