The squads for the six Italian teams competing in European competitions have been announced. No changes to Inter’s list, Helland out for Bologna, Angelino in for Roma and Rugani in for Fiorentina
The deadline for submitting the lists of players eligible for the upcoming Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League matches to UEFA was midnight. Here are the choices made by Atalanta, Inter, Juventus, Bologna, Roma, and Fiorentina.
Atalanta is awaiting the Champions League playoffs against Borussia Dortmund (first leg on February 17 in Germany, second leg on February 25 in Bergamo). After the winter transfer window, three players have been removed from the list: Marco Brescianini, Daniel Maldini, and Ademola Lookman. Three new players have been added: new signing Giacomo Raspadori, the recovered Mitchel Bakker, and Under-23 goalkeeper Paolo Vismara. Goalkeepers: Carnesecchi, Sportiello, Rossi, Vismara. Inter— No new signings from the transfer market, no changes to Inter’s UEFA list for the second phase of the Champions League, which will see Chivu’s Nerazzurri involved in the playoffs for a place in the round of 16 against Bodo Glimt (first leg on February 18 in Norway, second leg on February 26 at San Siro). The only player transferred, Palacios, was not even registered in September. Goalkeepers: Sommer, Martinez, Di Gennaro. Defenders: Dumfries, De Vrij, Acerbi, Akanji, Carlos Augusto, Bisseck, Dimarco, Darmian, Bastoni. Midfielders: Zielinski, Sucic, Luis Henrique, Frattesi, Diouf, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Barella. Forwards: Lautaro, Thuram, Bonny, Esposito (list B). There are two new additions to Juventus’ list for the Champions League knockout stage, namely new loanees Holm and Boga. The Bianconeri will face Galatasaray in the playoffs (first leg in Turkey on February 17, second leg in Turin on February 25). Here is the list. Fiorentina— Fabbian, Solomon, and Harrison are in, while Brescianini and Rugani are out. These are the main changes to the UEFA list submitted by Fiorentina for participation in the second phase of the Conference League, which will begin for the Viola with a playoff against Poland’s Jagiellonia Bialystok (first leg on February 19 away, second leg on February 26 at home). Of the five new signings, only three players have been included because it was not possible to make more than three changes. Naturally, the players who were transferred in January are out, from Dzeko and Richardson to Viti, Nicolussi, and Pablo Marì, in addition to the injured Lamptey and Sabiri, who are out of the project.
