While Spurs are still in the fight for the international places and need every point on their way there, Newcastle, on the other hand, can go into the upcoming match a bit more relaxed. Thanks to an impressive points haul, they were able to leave their relegation worries behind for the time being and build up a small cushion. Nevertheless, they are not quite through yet.

After mixed performances in January and February, where Tottenham dropped a few points, they have stabilised again recently, winning four of their last five games and thus underlining their claims to be playing at the top again.

For Newcastle, on the other hand, the trend looks the opposite. With two defeats in a row after a strong winning streak, Eddie Howe’s team is now under a bit more pressure to avoid slipping back to the bottom. Newcastle comes just in time for the England international striker. In his last four matches with the Magpies, Kane has contributed five goals and two assists. However, only one of those goals came at home.
