But even the favourite did not get through decisively, except in the last minute when the replaced Gerard extended a flank to Swedish housing – no problem for Olsen (90th). So it stayed at 0:0 and it was the first zero number of the European Championship.
The Andersson team confirmed the good form with the points win against Spain and also remained unbeaten against a top team. Meanwhile, the Tre Kronor have not lost since six international matches (five wins). Before the start of the European Championships Sweden won in all three friendly matches and also passed the European Championship general test against Armenia (3:1). In the World Cup qualification, there were two wins without conceding against Georgia and Kosovo in two games.
Mattias Svanberg (FC Bologna) and Dejan Kulusevski (Juventus Turin) have been quarantined in Corona for a week and also play no role against Slovakia.

Although the first friendly game on 01.06. with the 1:1 home against Bulgaria was rather mixed, the repertoire remained unbeaten after all. In the three World Cup qualifying games, two points were disappointingly divided against Cyprus and Malta. Most recently, however, there was a 2-1 home win against Russia.
Midfielder Ivan Schranz (FK Jablonec) is still out due to injury.
