Does Eintracht once again ensure a clear balance of power?
Just one step away from the group stage of the top flight, Eintracht set the course for a place in the Champions League group stage with a 5-0 win over Sparta Prague. The Hessians can now let the second leg play out and are not even under pressure to win away from home.
The best bookmakers, however, see the eagle bearers again as clear favorites. Our Sparta Prague vs. Frankfurt women’s tip is also aimed at the Hessians.
The Czech record champions lost the first leg 0:5 against Eintracht. Already at half-time Sparta was trailing 0:2. The situation worsened again after Pochmanova was sent off, as the Frankfurt side not only went 3-0 up, but swept Sparta off the pitch with five goals – including a brace for Freigang.
In the Bundesliga, however, Eintracht remained winless – for the third time in the still young league season, mind you. In the away match against the FCB soccer team, Eintracht only managed a meager draw. It was thus the second competitive match in a row in which the Frankfurt women kept their clean sheet.
Sparta Prague – statistics & current form
Sparta Prague will miss the jump into the group stage of the Champions League. After the bitter defeat in the first leg against Eintracht Frankfurt, the Czech record champion no longer has a realistic chance of making it into the Women’s CL 2023/24. Just like the year before against Roma Femminile, the international adventure is coming to an end.
The only question is with what overall result Sparta Prague will bow out of the Champions League qualifiers. In the first leg, the Czech record champion went down, and the clear result was certainly also due to the shorthanded play in the second half. However, it should be noted that the “Spart’anky” was the worse team even before the change of ends.
In the first half, Sparta did not even fire a single shot. Moreover, the guests from Prague had “only” 22% possession of the ball. With a similar performance, the Czech record champion is doomed to fail in the second leg as well. Already bets on a goal success of the “Spart’anky” are daring on Wednesday evening.
Home advantage of Sparta internationally insignificant?
In the Champions League, the “Spart’anky” have won only one of their last six home matches on the international stage since October 2017. On the other hand, Sparta lost four of those six matches, including 1-2 against Roma Femminile in the 2022/23 CL qualifiers and 0-1 against HB Koge the year before.
Although Sparta won two of its three home games this season, results against teams like Lok. Brno and Slovacko should not be overrated in view of the upcoming showdown with the Frankfurt side. After all, the “Spart’anky” already drew the short straw against Turbine Potsdam during the summer preparation.
In any case, Sparta has never won a competitive match against a team from the German Women’s Bundesliga. However, bettors who want to bet on Sparta Prague vs. Frankfurt Women can get odds of up to 21.00.
Predicted lineup of Sparta Prague:
Krzyaniak – Dlaskova, Kotrcova, Dedinova, Polcharova – Truxova – Chang, Johnson, Sonntagova, Subrtova – Kozarova
Frankfurt – statistics & current form
Eintracht Frankfurt already has one leg in the group stage of the 2023/24 Champions League. After eliminating teams like Slovacko and Juventus in the rounds before, they are now expected to be followed by Czech record champions Sparta Prague. Eintracht has already won the first leg 5:0.
For the first time ever, Eintracht now has the chance to participate in the top flight. After the clear result in the first leg, it would be more than surprising if the Hessians were to lose their ticket to the group stage. For that, the guests from Prague would need a small soccer miracle.
Since February 2023, Eintracht has lost only one of its last nine matches on foreign soil. In these nine away games, the Eagles have recorded a record of 6-2-1. It is quite possible that the next victory beckons. After the strong performance of the Frankfurt women in the first leg, bets on this are definitely worthwhile.
Will Eintracht flex their offensive muscles again?
The fact that the Kantersieg in the first leg against the “Spart’anky” was not a snapshot, showed the Eintracht also in the context of the Bundesliga. Against co-favorite FC Bayern Munich, there was a point gained away from home after a goalless draw. Praiseworthy in any case, because this was the second time in a row that the Hessians kept their clean slate.
However, the offense remains the showpiece. Last season, Eintracht scored a total of 57 goals in the Women’s Bundesliga, making it the third-strongest offense in the league. Only the Wölfinnen 2. and the FCB 1. scored more goals than the attacking department of the Frankfurt women. The best scorer on the Eintracht side was Prasnikar.
The 25-year-old has scored just two goals in eight appearances this season. Nevertheless, the Slovenian remains set in head coach Niko Arnautis’ playing system. Compared to the starting eleven that was used in the first leg, no major changes are expected on the Frankfurt side anyway.
Predicted lineup of Frankfurt:
Johannes – Riesen, Kirchberger, Kleinherne, Wolter – Pawollek, Grawe – Dunst, Freigang, Reuteler – Prasnikar
Sparta Prague – Frankfurt Direct comparison / H2H balance
Last week, Eintracht and Sparta Prague met for the first time ever. The Hessians won the premiere duel in front of their home crowd with 5:0 and thus already set the course for the entry into the group stage of the Champions League 2023/24.
Sparta Prague – Frankfurt Women Tip
The Eintracht showed a defiant reaction after the mini-crisis and remained unbeaten in the last three competitive matches. The comeback against RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga was followed by a resounding victory against Sparta Prague. Last weekend, on the other hand, Eintracht even scored against defending champions FC Bayern, keeping Munich’s offense in check.
After recent performances, it would be more than surprising if Eintracht squandered the clear advantage in the play-offs of the ongoing CL qualification. The only question – at least in our estimation – is with what overall result the Hessians will enter the group stage. We think bets on another victory for Eintracht are obvious.
Our Sparta Prague vs. Frankfurt Women betting tip aims at a victory for the Frankfurt women with at least a three-goal lead. Bets on this already paid off in the first leg. We use a total of five units for our forecast. The best odds are offered by Interwetten
