Fenerbahce are on the verge of making the EL play-offs

Another unsuccessful start to the season for the Canaries from Istanbul. After Fenerbahce had already been eliminated from the qualifiers for the top flight, they suffered a bitter setback in the league at the beginning of the season. Against Ümraniyespor, one of three promoted teams in the league, Fenerbahce only picked up one point and thus blew the start of the season.

They will now continue in the third qualifying round for the Europa League during the week. With the 3-0 win last week, Fenerbahce have already taken a big step towards the play-offs. As expected, the yellow and navy blue team is also favoured in the second leg. For Slovacko vs. Fenerbahce, only odds in the 2.00 range are currently offered for Tip 2.

For the Eastern Europeans, last week’s defeat was their third away loss on the international stage. In any case, 1st FC Slovacko had never won an away match in UEFA European Cup qualifying. Their home record, however, is impressive.

The Czech representatives have lost only one international match at home so far. Accordingly, 1st FC Slovacko will approach the home match against Fenerbahce with a broad chest. However, after the 0:3 defeat, a comeback tends to be out of the question.

Slovacko – Statistics & current form

For 1. FC Slovacko there are only minimal chances to reach the play-offs of the EL qualification after the 0:3 in Istanbul. The team of head coach Svedik needs a small miracle for that. The Turkish opponent had dominated the first leg at will.

In addition, 1st FC Slovacko did not have the best start to the season anyway. Last week they won their first match of the season. But those three points were hard-fought. It was only after their opponents were sent off that 1 FC Slovacko managed to break the deadlock with a 1-0 goal.

The Eastern Europeans are now aiming for another win against Fenerbahce. Bettors who want to bet on a home win despite the Czech team’s mixed start to the season can pick up betting odds of 3.40 for tip 1 on Slovacko vs. This is supported by Slovacko’s recent home winning streak.

Will Slovacko continue their winning streak in their own stadium?

The Czechs have won their last seven home games at home, both season and competition-wide. The last time 1. FC Slovacko went winless in a home match was in March 2022, and since then there have been seven victories in which Slovacko have scored a total of 16 goals. It is quite possible that at least one goal will be scored this time as well.

The result in the first leg against Fenerbahce should not be overestimated. Before the match against FB, 1. FC Slovacko had not scored in an away match on the international stage. Moreover, 1st FC Slovacko played for long stretches with a shorthanded team. Hofmann was sent off at the beginning of the second half.

The central defender is therefore not available this week. Kadlec is expected to take over his role in the three-man defence. No other changes are expected in the starting eleven.

Predicted line-up of Slovacko:
Nguyen; Doski, Kadlec, Tomic, Reinberk; Danicek; Holzer, Travnik, Havlik, Petrzela; Sinyavskiy

Fenerbahce – Statistics & current form

This is certainly not how FB coach Jorge Jesus envisaged his start to the season in Turkey. The Portuguese not only slipped out of the Champions League into the Europa League with his team, but also made a false start in the league. After a mixed performance, they only earned a point against SL debutants Ümraniyespor last Monday.

A consolation was the home win against Slovacko last week. With the 3-0 win in Istanbul, Fenerbahce have already taken a big step towards the play-offs and can now look forward to the second leg with composure. Even a defeat will be enough for Fenerbahce – provided they don’t lose by more than a three-goal difference.

Changes compared to the last starting eleven are obvious. Not only because FB can use more legionnaires in the starting line-up on the international stage, but also because the Yellow Navy Blue hardly managed to convince against Ümraniyespor. The Canaries’ back line in particular was shaky.

Too many mistakes in the defence

Fenerbahce came away happy with the draw against the promoted side last Monday. Ümraniyespor, after all, missed numerous chances and could therefore only partially benefit from the defensive mistakes. How FB coach Jesus will solve the problem in the back line remains uncertain for the time being.

Kim Min-Jae, one of the mainstays of Fenerbahce’s central defence, left during the summer break. Since then, the back line has been the weak point in the team. In addition, regular keeper Bayindir has not had the best start to the season and has disappointed in numerous situations so far.

In 13 matches against Czech teams, Fenerbahce have a record of 5-1-7, and the last time they visited the Czech Republic for an international match, they suffered a bitter defeat against Slavia Prague. It is therefore – especially after the recent draw – a lot of risk to make a prediction on the visitors in the upcoming match between Slovacko vs Fenerbahce.

Predicted line-up of Fenerbahce:
Cetin; Osayi-Samuel, Henrique, Szalai, Kadioglu; Arao; Mor, Crespo, Rossi; Bruma, Lincoln

Slovacko – Fenerbahce Direct comparison / H2H record

Last week, 1. FC Slovacko and Fenerbahce met for the first time in their club history. Fenerbahce won the premiere duel 3-0 on aggregate to record their fifth win against a Czech side.

Slovacko – Fenerbahce Tip

Fenerbahce already have one foot in the play-offs and are relaxed going into the second leg against 1. FC Slovacko. The only question in the Czech Republic is with which result the Yellow Navy Blues will ultimately enter the play-offs. After the 0:3 in the first leg, the Czech hosts need a little football miracle in the second leg.

Because 1st FC Slovacko did not make the best impression in the first three competitive matches of the current season, a high victory for the Eastern Europeans tends to be ruled out. Nevertheless, 1. FC Slovacko should not be underestimated in their own stadium and have the potential to challenge Fenerbahce this time around.

At home, 1. FC Slovacko have won their last seven home games, including the recent 1-0 win over Hradec Kralove. We therefore don’t rule out a match of equals this time and expect another high-scoring encounter.

Our forecast for Slovacko vs. Fenerbahce is again for over 2.5 goals at reasonable odds. We are betting on six units.
